    Why?
No nation has been able to eradicate the Jews for thousands of years.
The Nations that tried always lost in the long run, at least that is what history shows.
When did any nation before Hitler's alleged atrocity make a wholesale attempt to exterminate all Jews? Cite one example. I know that in the aftermath of the revolt against Trajan, it was the non-Jewish population of Cyprus that was totally depleted of non-Jewish presence!

The so-called despots always pardoned the Jewish masses and only punished the revolt leaders. See Antiochus Epiphanes, Titus, and Hadrian. The Christian historian Orosius can vouch for Hadrian as a patron of Christians.

The Assyrians and Babylonians admitted Jewish youths into their learning curriculum, their libraries, trained them in the liberal arts and the science of astrology. Practically afforded them the highest civilized education.

Go back into history to see how many times Jerusalem was destroyed just as an example.

The loss of a capital is hardly total extermination. The Roman empire did not collapse just because it's capital was overrun.
