German Troops in Afghanistan Want Explanation For Why They're At War

    Daily Mail (Britain)

German soldiers are wearing their hearts on their sleeves - in the form of a badge that protests their country's involvement in the war in Afghanistan. Some troops have taken to wearing the cloth accessory that states - ironically - 'I fight for Merkel' in a bid to persuade the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to explain exactly what they are fighting and dying for ... German involvement is deeply unpopular with some 80 per cent of the public, who want the troops to come home. Germany’s disastrous wars of the last century have left its public with a deep pacifistic streak.

Same reason we're there. Zionist moles in the government and the military-industrial complex... not to mention all that untapped coal, natural gas, copper, and oil just below the surface.

Seeing that it is the Chinese that have got the contracts for oil and gas, your comment seems not to be correct. The Chinese also have mining contracts; I don't believe any western countries do at all.

    Gentlemen,

I have read the United States is in Afghanistan because they are running a natural gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to the Indian ocean across Afghanistan.

I think the primary reason we are still in Afghanistan is for strategic encirclement of Iran. We already have large numbers of troops in Iraq and the Persian gulf to their west, and the presence of airbases and other "jumping-off-points" to the east in Afghanistan would mean we can hit them fast and from two sides. I also think Iran's eastern border is much less fortified and very rugged, making it that much more difficult for them to secure. The American drone that was captured by the Iranians a few months ago was operating out of Afghanistan, which proves that at least some of our operation over there is aimed at Iran.
