It depends on the situation I guess. I never seek out attention, but I do often end up as the center of attention in a group for some reason.
Please don't confuse the terms "nordid" and "nordic".

When this happens unexpectedly there is often a physical reason for it. My friend is very beautiful but also incredibly shy, and she is always the center of attention purely because of how she looks. Of course, there could be other physical reasons to explain this for some people, such as noticeable features, height, weight, some deformity (not that I am suggesting you have one ). It may be a compliment that people notice you.

I don't like to be the center of attention, but it's part of my work and I can handle it well. I'm a good public speaker/performer, but this isn't because I revel in being the focal point of attention, but because I know how to put it out of my mind.

Once you get past the first few shows/presentations, it's a breeze. But in my casual life, I usually let others do most of the talking and I just listen.

It seems to me that the farther north you get, the more introverted the people become. Anyone else noticed this? I mean, to my experience, people from warmer climates seem to be extroverts and people from colder climates are quite introverted- look at Northern Europe and the Northern US.

I'm suprised so many voted no.

To be honest, a little of both, but it give me great satisfaction and amusement that I can cause such a reaction, good or bad. I'm not so good at making myself the center of attention, but I do appreciate being noticed and talked about. I was much more concerned with it when I was school-age though.

Do I like to be the center of attention? With my husband I always loved it.
I ain't shy, I possess a healthy self-confidence, so I reckon outside of my relationship with my late husband it depends on the situation. There have been times I actually wanted to hide
. Those situations will remain my secret.

You have to take into account that online forum-visitors are by definition more on the introvert side.

Apart from that, there are enough Germanics that are quite extrovert. Still, on the whole Germanics are definitely more introvert than southern Europeans.

The center of a group's attention should always be reserved for the females within that group. This is the natural way of things; for a male to desire the position is an effeminacy unsuited to the Germanic. My own answer to this question, therefore, is no; I do not.

I am NOT an extrovert at all. I am quite reserved, but I still LOVE attention, I am just only able to seek it in a very mild way. For example, I might try to passively do something to make others notice me, like spend a lot of time on a project so others can know more about me or wear flashy clothing.

Of course. I do also appreciate attention, but not too much of it. I thought this thread is about whether you as a general rule like being in the center of attention. You may, for example, appreciate attention when being together with your friends or people you care about. On the other side, you may easily become nervous or feel uneasy if you get a lot of attention towards your person from many people. It does also depend on what kind of circumstances and situations we are talking about.
