    Diversity Is Our Strength

A question for the Europeans: Is this specific phrase (not just the idea) used often in Europe? I know that it would normally be translated into the native tongue, but, that issue aside, is this cluster of words formally and systematically used?

I feel a bit like Captain Obvious by making this post. That is, I have always known that "Diversity is our strength" and "Diversity is our greatest strength" were utter multicultural trash, and I think I've even called it "Newspeak" in the past. But not until the past month did I realize that it actually was Newspeak. As in, while I can think of a myriad of examples of propaganda, brainwashing, etc., off the top of my head, I can't think of one other pithy phrase like this that is constantly pumped down every official channel, and that comes from the mouth of so many politicians. If you were to spend time googling that phrase in America and making note of the different times it was used, you'd probably have a list as long as Jörmungandr (or however that is technically spelled).

Anyhow, I was just curious to know if you have an equivalent phrase over there that is often used word-for-word...

    War is Peace.
    Freedom is Slavery.
    Diversity is our Strength.

I don't know in other European countries but here it's more associated with "opportunity" or even "good fortune".. like "Diversity is a chance!"

Well, in Germany these phrases are quite hard to list, because each second day comes out a new multicultural battle cry like this.

Officially everyone is convinced, that immigration is a good thing. But on one hand you hear politicians talking about diversity and on the other hand each immigrant should be assimilated successfully.

Think they don't even know what they want and that's why we do not have ONE this popular phrase like yours.

Maybe this could be useful in one way…
    What about a campaign:

'Give diversity a chance - stop race mixing'
