Both R1b and I1 seem Germanic HG, however it is just a paternal lineage, thus it is not the main thing, the physical anthropological typology is a better way to discove an individuals heritage. Some believs the I1 the "only true" Germanic HG, however others think the I1 is rather the pre-germanic Scandinavian's HG.
Eupedia - Haplogroup R1b
Here you can find about the R1b haplogroup "precise" ditribution. I don't know whether it's accurate or not though.
I'm of the same group. It's a subgroup of one that is most common in Scotland and Ireland. It's been dubbed the Pictish marker by some.
Here's a map of the distribution of R1b M222, of which f* is a subgroup of:

My DNA
Paternal R1b1b2a1a1
Today R1b1b2a1a1 is found mostly on the fringes of the North Sea in England, Germany and the Netherlands, where it reaches levels of one-third. That distribution suggests that some of the first men to bear the haplogroup in their Y-chromosomes were residents of Doggerland, a real-life Atlantis that was swallowed up by rising seas in the millennia following the Ice Age.
Maternal U5a1a1
U5a1
Haplogroup U5a1 originated in Europe during the Ice Age, about 20,000 years ago. At the time people were confined to small refuges in the southern part of the continent. When the glaciers began receding about 15,000 years ago people began migrating northward, carrying U5a1 and other haplogroups with them. Today U5a1 is most commonly found in places such as Norway and northern Germany.

I really don't believe that R1b1a2a1a1a originated in the area known as Doggerland! That area was supposedly already underwater when the S21 mutation took place.According to Eupedia,Haplogroup R1b1a2a1a1a originated
5,000 ybp and Doggerland was already submerged.
Therefore,I think the only surviving forms of the earliest Doggerlander hunter and gatherer's culture and language {the I men and U5 women} survive in the Sammi and old cultural forms.
I don't buy the doggerland BS either. Maybe its a nice PC way of avoiding the fact that germanic tribes invaded the isles.
