    Hair and Hamingja

I have read in many places that in Teutonic/ Germanic lore, hair is a sign of Hamingja. I have read that it is good to have good, full hair and Kveldulf Gundarsson in his Teutonic Magic even suggests that a Vitki grow his hair and beard as long as his circumstances allow. He goes on to actually ally himself with the idea that energy from the hair during ritual can be used, at least indirectly.

What does this mean for the balding man? Is his Hamingja lessened?

An article about Indian scouts being allowed to keep their hair long.

As for the beards, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beard#A...lassical_world

I'd kind of like to grow a huge beard, but to most people these days I'd "look like a hobo" or something. Maybe I'll just grow a goatee.

Not likely, but then again I'm pretty sure, if I recall, women are supposed to be able to see more colours and smell more scents. Being deficient in testosterone though may be their downfall when it comes to hunting.
