    The Germans: It should be obvious they were qualitatively superior to every other force. They only lost the war due to a few crucial strategic mistakes by their leadership, and the fact that they were hopelessly outnumbered from 1942 on. Even so, it took three years of hard fighting to defeat them.

    The British: Actually, a lot of their individual soldiers were not in good physical shape, particularly compared to the German soldiers. This is because Britain had basically neglected its youthful generation in the inter-war period. However, their morale was obviously exceptional, even throughout the period in 1940 when it appeared that they were doomed. They deserve recognition for this sort of fighting-spirit in the face of grim odds. British military intelligence was also exceptionally good.

    The Red Army (including the Russians): I have tremendous respect for the Russian soliders, who repeatedly demonstrated their bravery. Some of their Generals were also very keen minds. However, the tactics employed by the Red Army (largely thanks to Stalin) often left much to be desired (I'm thinking particularly of the 'human wave' attacks), as they were really just based on a numbing application of quantitative superiority. They also benefitted from the vast size and harsh climate of their territory, naturally. They did have an outstanding military intelligence capability.

    The Americans: A lot of individual soldiers were very brave, but they do not appear to have been collectively very tough and disciplined. Actually, rather the reverse. Despite this, they did demonstrate to other countries that getting Americans exceptionally angry at you is not a sound policy. The main American advantage was of course the invulerability of their homeland, and their enormous capacity for wartime industrial production of a high technological calibre. It has to be acknowledged that Britain would have lost without American material support, and the Soviet Union also benefitted greatly from such support (sent via the Murmansk route).

    I see problems in the above:

    1) The Germans were not that outnumbered; they had Japanese, Italians, and many other allies on their side, together with many collaborators in the countries and areas they occupied.

    2) I am not too sure about your "human wave" claims; there are some dis-agreements about how much they really took place, and the Germans also employed them.

    Just one example here:

    http://wolnapolska.boom.ru/index-ZiemiLubelskiej.html

    3) Doubt the Soviets had that outstanding intelligence; the start of "Barbarossa" is a good example. But I also heard that a lot of Soviet intelligence prior to it was ignored by the Soviet government, so I am not too sure about this one.

    4) And talking of bocian's comment, not sure why should I be ignored, especially since there were so many dumb postings made here by people who can't even really back-up their own claims and views.

    They did indeed have allies and collaborators. But, if you check the population statistics of the Axis vs. the Allied countries, I think you'll see the Axis as a whole was outnumbered. Also, because the Japanese on the one hand, and Germans&Italians on the other, were separated from each other by such vast distances, and did not launch coordinated attacks on common enemies, their alliance wasn't of much practical value.

    It's probably hard to be sure. To the extent that the Germans did employ them, that probably wasn't a sound move on their part, since they weren't really in a quantitative position to be able to afford such tactics.

    3) Doubt the Soviets had that outstanding intelligence; the start of "Barbarossa" is a good example. But I also heard that a lot of Soviet intelligence prior to it was ignored by the Soviet government, so I am not too sure about this one.
    My understanding is the Soviets, thanks to their network of agents in German-occupied Europe (the 'Red Orchestra', as the Germans called it) had full knowledge of the impending attack of Operation Barbarossa. Their problem was that Stalin, for reasons known only to himself, simply refused to believe in the information he was given. He simply didn't accept the idea that Hitler would attack the USSR. But, that colossal error in judgment on his part can't be blamed on his intelligence agents.

    4) And talking of bocian's comment, not sure why should I be ignored, especially since there were so many dumb postings made here by people who can't even really back-up their own claims and views.
    ? I didn't talk about Poland, because I've not read much about them.

    As for being outnumbered, have a look at this map:

    Pink = Axis
    Green = Allies
    Yellow = Traitors

    If Romania would not have joined the Allied forces, it would have surely become a Soviet Republic. Which it did not become, but this does not imply communist was not perhaps the most perverted from the whole Eastern block.

    So, what would you have chosen, Zyklop, instead of the Romanian leaders of those times?

    Personally, I have no answer.

    Anyway, there were SS Romanian forces remaining next to German forces till the end.

    One could say so.This is slightly offtopic, but I want to introduce a man who killed lots of those ***** and who I admire

    Following article is written by american man, so it's not usual overwhelming self-praise of nations past.
