Actually Poland fought for two days longer than France did.

You also fail to take into account that while Poland fought alone (there was just one Czechoslovak unit in its service), France fought together with Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the British, and the Polish and Czechoslovak units in French service + whole bunch of colonial troops. At last, since the 17th September, the Poles also fought against the Soviets, and since even before the war started, against ethnic German and Ukrainian fifth columnists, and Poland's defensive position was much worse than that of the French while the element of surprise was the biggest.

Saying that the British were better soldiers than the Poles is nonsense.

A lot of Polish troops were also volunteers, and the membership in the SS itself is not a prove of bravery.

I don't think so. This two divisions were good, of course. But the best
    Waffen- SS divisions were:
Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, Das Reich, Totenkopf and Wiking.

Propaganda. Not surprising though, much of what the world knows about Poland today has been very 'Germanized'.

Horses were used mainly for supplies. Every other army in Europe did the same thing.

This reminds me of the battle of Grunwald, after the Teutonic defeat, the order admitted that much, but claimed the Poles had the help of 100,000 Tatars.

It's funny that you discount the Poles so easily, I'm sure what Odin mentioned is meaningless to you though. The fact that they fought on every front, did serious damage to the Germans, held out longer than the French, did their part in saving Britain, not to mention Monte Cassino. Lest we forget they were the first to experience the war, while the 'superior' French and English 'knights of democracy' stood by and watched.

I'll only comment on the armies I know a bit about.

The Germans: It should be obvious they were qualitatively superior to every other force. They only lost the war due to a few crucial strategic mistakes by their leadership, and the fact that they were hopelessly outnumbered from 1942 on. Even so, it took three years of hard fighting to defeat them.

The British: Actually, a lot of their individual soldiers were not in good physical shape, particularly compared to the German soldiers. This is because Britain had basically neglected its youthful generation in the inter-war period. However, their morale was obviously exceptional, even throughout the period in 1940 when it appeared that they were doomed. They deserve recognition for this sort of fighting-spirit in the face of grim odds. British military intelligence was also exceptionally good.

The Red Army (including the Russians): I have tremendous respect for the Russian soliders, who repeatedly demonstrated their bravery. Some of their Generals were also very keen minds. However, the tactics employed by the Red Army (largely thanks to Stalin) often left much to be desired (I'm thinking particularly of the 'human wave' attacks), as they were really just based on a numbing application of quantitative superiority. They also benefitted from the vast size and harsh climate of their territory, naturally. They did have an outstanding military intelligence capability.

The Americans: A lot of individual soldiers were very brave, but they do not appear to have been collectively very tough and disciplined. Actually, rather the reverse. Despite this, they did demonstrate to other countries that getting Americans exceptionally angry at you is not a sound policy. The main American advantage was of course the invulerability of their homeland, and their enormous capacity for wartime industrial production of a high technological calibre. It has to be acknowledged that Britain would have lost without American material support, and the Soviet Union also benefitted greatly from such support (sent via the Murmansk route).
