Interesting Article from what I quickly looked over. I think at the root of the problem is the fact that Languages such as ancient Hebrew do not directly translate into English and the same could have been said of Old English, so as such you have the translation of "Yom" as "Day" which is a close but somewhat incorrect translation.

So in reality what is described as 7 "Days" could in fact be seven periods of ten million years, or seven periods of ten billion years. Then we add in the interpretations of those in the 1800 Darwin’s period. So in reality the Bible from that perspective really does not give you a times scale.

This being said, we then get back to the fact that Leftist Evolutionist had a political agenda, and the Evangelicals on the other side also had an agenda.

If you Ask me nether side has a any proof to back themselves up, other political arguments.

I don't know any scientist who doesn't admit this, this is why there is still research in this regard.

It has been observed with bacteria: Mutation -> selection -> in-/decreased survivability ( http://www.pnas.org/content/105/23/7899 ).
Evolution in itself seems to be an observable fact, the theoretical part is about the reconstruction of the past events.

Someone here mentioned human descent from fishes. Well the other day there was something about a fish called a cave angel that walks like a tetrapod (four footed animal) when its out of the water. So I can easily imagine an extinct lobe finned coelacanth doing the same thing.
