    Our Ancestors and Racial Consciousness

I'd like to hear what people have to say on this...Do you believe that our long deceased ancestors "psychically" guide us towards making ourselves more racially conscious? Do you think they want us to be more racially conscious?

I believe that our Ancient ancestors had a much more Tribal sense of racialism.

I believe that Germanic is a fairly modern language classification. I believe not all Germanic speaking groups are of the same origin. A good example being Yiddish, even Yiddish is grouped with Germanic languages. Obviously, Germanic is a modern language classification based upon modern similarities.

Our ancient ancestors had their own sense of folk which was not dependent upon modern, artificial patriotism.

If you are using white people as a whole as your racial basis, and I don't, I'm more selective, our ancestors did not have much choice about whether to be true to their race or not, since fortunately for them, there were very very few nonwhites in europe. Fortunately again, the jews tended to be even more ethnically conscious than europeans.

I really don't think that if some viking brought back an italian girl as his "Beutebraut", booty bride, that anybody would have thought that it was miscegenation. A mooress might have been another thing entirely. Most other people never traveled more than 20 km from their birthplaces so the question seldom arose.

    Yes, I do!

I tend to believe in reincarnation, and I think one of the easiest ways to reincarnate is to gravitate towards the same genetic material.

On a wider level we are also developing racial consciousness.

In other groups this would not be seen as problematic.

Before Christianisation? I doubt Vikings cared about the Christian versus Moslem distinction.

I heard some Viking-age account from Norway where these Norwegians were saying they, fellow Norwegians, were the finest people on earth and the standard to which lesser people were to be compared.

I'm aware that Sami were then regarded as part of a liminal half-human category together with bears. But I've no idea which other non-Germanics were in this category.

The Eskimo, Inuit, in Greenland were given a derogatory name by the Icelanders who landed there and were said to be short and ugly.

And were conceptually connected to Sami.
