The silver lining is of course that Ron Paul is picking up steam.

However great Ron Paul is, and compared to the other choices, I'd say that's pretty great, I'm fully convinced that the powers that be are so entrenched in their positions that no one will be able to alter the centralizing, controlling course our government is taking without a massive catastrophe or complete collapse of some kind

This may be absolutely true. I can't imagine defeating this government now .. even with all the manpower we could ask for. Their weapons are seriously wicked now. Too bad technology has done us in. We have to hope for collapse.

Well I’m pretty sure they are not worried about impairing the effectiveness of the troops, other wise they would not be retailing Guns to the same arabs they say they are fighting, and importing drugs for sale on the streets of America. Of course, the CIA has to have that "War Profiteering" money that the rest of us don’t know about.

Oh sorry I didn’t even get into the "Gays In the Military" Bull $hit, or the ignorant "Democracy Policy’s" that understandably keep the Arabs fighting like hell to keep them out.

    Are you kidding.
We already have worse in the White House right now.
The McDonald's Chicken Nugget hold up Lady would be moving up the ladder. LOL

    I disagree.

Yes they have advanced weaponry, but let me remind you that the US Military in the 1970's was a laugh out loud joke. The only thing that has changed since then is Global Financing, and the Jewish Money machine is behind them now.

But if you ask me if there were a face off similar to what existed in the 1970's with the USSR, these current USSA military Douchebags would fold like a deck of cards in a strong wind.

As F-ed up as Russia is they had no problems dealing with US Airborne troops in Georgia.

Look how these fools squeal over Iran having ONE, I repeat ONE, nuclear weapon. That in it's self is a Joke, because the Russians in the late 1970's and early 1980's had ruffly twice the TOTAL Nuclear arsenal of the US.

I think the problem is there is no longer a USSR capable force to keep them inline.

This US legislation could be used very much like Operation Valkyrie which aimed to legalize a military coup.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
Well you are hypothetically right. The problem is Washington DOES NOT OBEY The LAW. There are tones of constitutional violation dating from Woodrow Wilson right up the the current POS that is in the white house.

That vast majority of trash they call "Constitutional Law" operates on some $hit they call the "Living Constitution" meaning they do not have to consult historical record. This also means they just pull crap out of their A$$ and call it constitutional Law, and that excrement generally lines up with Cultural Marxism, miraculously.

Funny how that always happens with "International Progressives"

I am aware that we already have some of the worst in control, my point was I would rather see the elites of merit (meaning those who are most wise, capable, etc...) in power than our current leaders who are the incompetent sons of rich fathers or letting power trickle down to the dregs of society and let mob rule ensue.

Yes I know what you mean, it was more of a joke than anything to illustrate a point.

As far as the elites of merit, I do not see that happening these days. I think you would need a serious purge of all the people in various organizations around the world to accomplish any sort of half assed, decency. A sort of planned demolition of these people's power base is probably a better option.
