    The Scourge of Egalitarianism

I just thought I could share this little with you this short lampoon on egalitarianism, it can constitute a good base for an argumentation against this concept :

Nowadays a lot of people still sincerely believe that the search for equality is a blessing for mankind. The promises of equality in the past always invariably ended in failure. Communism betrayed this promise by installing the most murderous regimes in recent history. Liberal capitalism made fun of it by shamefully legitimizing the biggest social and economic inequalities on grounds of a pure principle of equality. Despite their opposition against each other, liberal capitalism and communism basically belong in the same category originating from the enlightenment and the French revolution. Both share the same egalitarianism, the same rationalism, the same primacy of the factor economy, the same believe in unlimited progression and the same hope for the end of history. The biggest difference is that liberal capitalism has had much greater sufficiency in achieving certain objectives which it had in common with communism: The extermination of group identity and traditional cultures, disenchantment of the world and the global standardization of the production system.

They both strive for the “new man”. The “new man” who would indefinitely be malleable by the steady and brutal change of his living conditions and by alienating him from his identity. From this point of view the diversity in the world becomes an obstacle. Everything that separates people from each other is seen as something accidental, obsolete or dangerous. This utopia forms the basis of the most totalitarian capitalist and communist constructs of the 20st century. Mankind is naturally embedded in an identity that’s shaped by many factors. As a single being he’s the eternal boundary crosser between the universal (his species) and the particular (every culture and every age). Cultural differences are not based on delusion, neither are they the result of temporary or accidental characteristics of secondary importance. Cultures always have their own “axis”; different cultures give different answers on the essential questions. Every attempt to make them one means the complete destruction of them. That’s the main reason why multiculturalism is a dangerous mistake. The fact that they suggest that egalitarianism should be a primary goal is against the actual nature of mankind. This will always lead to oppression and levelling down.

Liberal capitalism and communism share the fundamental believe in human nature and the role of an oppressive government which should “steer” human nature where this is necessary. Modern communists call themselves opponents of the capitalist globalisation, but they put their own form of globalisation which is just as destructive for people and their cultures in place. These communists have embedded themselves in the capitalist status quo since the May ’68 revolution. They influence the way of thought of pupils and students with their egalitarianism and other internationalist views. Dissenting voices against the dogma of equality and the grey “one world” society are silenced and punished by them. Their goal is to freeze the orthodox ideological position to paralyze new and progressive synthesis which threats their intellectually comfortable position.

The link you gave is down - pity. Sorry to sound like an ignorant monolingual Englishman - where was/is that group from? I take it they are National Syndicalists.
