What Kind of Phone Do You Use?

As the title says, which phone do you use?

A phone is supposed to be used essentially for talking, but that's changed a lot. If you have a phone with operating system etc., do you use any of the extra options frequently?

Is it just me or are all these ultra modern phones, smartphones especially just a tad superfluous?

I just own and use an old Nokia cell phone which is around 5 years old. It´s serves its purpose and is neither to small nor to large.

I´m not even interested in all these new tablets, tabloids, pads or how they´re called. Blackberry, Android, IPad, IPhone, IPod...I don´t need this. A mobile telephone with a SMS function and a small camera is enough. I can do everything else with my PC! There´s no need to spend hundreds of Euros on overhyped and overprized products who will be out-fashioned in four months from now. Most people only use 20% of the available functions but waste endless money on a lifestyle and fashion trend. There are objective tests and studies who come to the clear conclusion that Apple products are neither extraordinarily powerful and innovative nor worth their prize. But people keep buying their products because the Apple logo makes someone "cool" and "hip". Well, not my world, absolutely not my world.

I am an Android user, to be more specific, I have an HTC Evo 4G...

Great all-around smartphone, even though yes, like Thusnelda said, the majority of people use very, very, very little of their phone's potential, it still does just about everything I need... I tend to use it -other than calling- for browsing the Internet when I'm not at home, listening to music either on Youtube or MP3s, or sending emails. The only deep flaw to it: the battery life. REALLY damn short.

I thought I was the only one who thinks this way save for old people.
I personally think iphones look girly, I do like the look of the black berry but
I'm not paying for a data package that I would rarely use.

Maybe if I had allot of disposable income to thrown around I would get a fancy phone.

If one needs to talk to me then dial the number or e-mail. I don't like the
texting thing unless it's a quick buzz on something.

Android for me. I want to be able to read the news, check my e-mail, listen to music, and (sometimes) view videos.

    Regular phone.
I bought the Sony Ericsson w810i 4,5 years ago and still use it. It works fine and at the moment satisfies my needs.

I am planing on getting iPhone in the near future. Not for the part it being fancy and all that but for practical reasons. For example I can develop applications for it which I can later use in the field where normally I couldn't carry a regular computer with me. The reason why Apple and not any other is because I already own an iMac and am very satisfied with it as it's durable and reliable and allows me do my work stress free. So I'm sure the iPhone will serve me well also. But at the moment I don't have that large need for it so I'm sticking with my SE for the time being.

It would work perfectly for my needs if only the battery life wasn't so damn poor (even with the other technical problems outlined below I'd still be able to use it if not for the battery issue). It's a regular phone, no bells and whistles, yet it eats up the energy like crazy. I can't recount how many times I've been talking to someone and the low-battery signal starts buzzing in my ear.

My last phone was also a sony ericsson, a w610i and it worked like a charm, great battery life too. This phone didn't cost less than that one yet there has been nothing but problems with it. A while back it would freeze on and off so I had to remove the battery to shut it off and start it up again. It's a terrible phone and I feel let down by it, since I specifically bought a sony ericsson because of what little attachment it still has to Sweden.

Even though my ancestry is English, Germany is my favorite country.
