Almost two-thirds of Scots would vote for independence if they were guaranteed to be just £500 better off a year, a survey has claimed.

I suppose it makes sense that the masses will support a change that is financially beneficial. It is interesting, though, that even if nothing is changed, there is quite a bit more support for independence than opposition. It will be interesting to see if the potential collapse of the eurozone and the economy will affect this support in the future.

Wow, they're basing their willingness to be independent based on a paltry sum of 500 pounds a year, and would not vote for independence if they made 500 a year less?
