Possibly, but since Arkaim is such an ancient city (older than Stonehenge!), they were probably either destroyed by invaders or destroyed in a flood or something like that during the Ice Age. Of course, this is only assuming there was ever such a civilization there.

There is a definite connection. This is the true spirituality neo-pagans should be searching after, but since we know more about the Vedic religion, the question comes up as to why not just practice the Vedic religion instead of trying to reconstruct a dead religion? In any case, here are some interesting links worth looking at:

    http://www.laurenhasten.com/edved.htm

    http://www.hinduwisdom.info/articles_hinduism/258.htm

    http://druidnetwork.org/en/node/1494

    http://sivaloka.tripod.com/ancient_links.htm

I personally have always found this connection fascinating. The first image is a detail from the Gundestrup Cauldron of ancient Europe and the second image is the seal of Pashupati (or Shiva) from Mohenjo-Daro.

This is probably a silly question but I am a little confused, by Vedic religion do you mean Hinduism or is the Vedic religion something different entirely?

There are four Vedas, the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda. The Vedas are the primary texts of Hinduism. Though the term "Hinduism" is a fairly new one. The term used was Sanatana Dharma originally. Seeing how Hinduism is not a Sanskrit word.

As I understand it Hinduism is based on the Vedic texts but merged with Dravidian customs. However Hinduism is not one thing, it is an all encompassing word and some Hindu's have more Vedic practices than others. Cast comes into this a lot. The Brahman culture was Vedic and historical records of early Brahman settlements are revealing.

Bronze Age is younger than Stone Age.
