    PETA Kills Animals

I have been spreading news about this for years after I had seen a video which is here but I shall warn you that it is traumatizing to watch, so take caution. I cried for hours after I saw this.

I wanted to post this, taken right from the group "PETA Kills Animals" There has been so much research and proof supporting this. www.petakillsanimals.com

7 Things You Didn't Know About PETA

    1) According to government documents, PETA employees have killed more than 19,200 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens since 1998. This behavior continues despite PETA’s moralizing about the “unethical” treatment of animals by farmers, scientists, restaurant owners, circuses, hunters, fishermen, zookeepers, and countless other Americans. PETA puts to death over 90 percent of the animals it accepts from members of the public who expect the group to make a reasonable attempt to find them adoptive homes. PETA holds absolutely no open-adoption shelter hours at its Norfolk, VA headquarters, choosing instead to spend part of its $32 million annual income on a contract with a crematory service to periodically empty hundreds of animal bodies from its large walk-in freezer.

    2) PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has described her group’s overall goal as “total animal liberation.” This means the complete abolition of meat, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, zoos, aquariums, circuses, wool, leather, fur, silk, hunting, fishing, and pet ownership. In a 2003 profile of Newkirk in The New Yorker, author Michael Specter wrote that Newkirk has had at least one seeing-eye dog taken away from its blind owner. PETA is also against all medical research that requires the use of animals, including research aimed at curing AIDS and cancer.

    3) PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to Rodney Coronado, an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) serial arsonist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing memorandum, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich has also told an animal rights convention that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation,” adding, “Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.”

    4) PETA activists regularly target children as young as six years old with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda, even waiting outside their schools to intercept them without notifying their parents. One piece of kid-targeted PETA literature tells small children: “Your Mommy Kills Animals!” PETA brags that its messages reach over 1.2 million minor children, including 30,000 kids between the ages of 6 and 12, all contacted by e-mail without parental supervision. One PETA vice president told the Fox News Channel’s audience: “Our campaigns are always geared towards children, and they always will be.”

    5) PETA’s president has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.” And PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, solely because they support animal-based research aimed at curing life-threatening diseases and birth defects. And PETA helped to start and manage a quasi-medical front group, the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, to attack medical research head-on.

    6) PETA has compared Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust to farm animals and Jesus Christ to pigs. PETA’s religious campaigns include a website that claims—despite ample evidence to the contrary—that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian. PETA holds protests at houses of worship, even suing one church that tried to protect its members from Sunday-morning harassment. Its billboards taunt Christians with the message that hogs “died for their sins.” PETA insists, contrary to centuries of rabbinical teaching, that the Jewish ritual of kosher slaughter shouldn’t be allowed. And its infamous “Holocaust on Your Plate” campaign crassly compared the Jewish victims of Nazi genocide to farm animals.

    7) PETA frequently looks the other way when its celebrity spokespersons don’t practice what it preaches. As gossip bloggers and Hollywood journalists have noted, Pamela Anderson’s Dodge Viper (auctioned to benefit PETA) had a “luxurious leather interior”; Jenna Jameson was photographed fishing, slurping oysters, and wearing a leather jacket just weeks after launching an anti-leather campaign for PETA; Morrissey got an official “okay” from PETA after eating at a steakhouse; Dita von Teese has written about her love of furs and foie gras; Steve-O built a career out of abusing small animals on film; the officially “anti-fur” Eva Mendes often wears fur anyway; and Charlize Theron’s celebrated October 2007 Vogue cover shoot featured several suede garments. In 2008, “Baby Phat” designer Kimora Lee Simmons became a PETA spokesmodel despite working with fur and leather, after making a $20,000 donation to the animal rights group.

This is a good anti Peta video, and it is not graphic at all. There is a little bit of swearing in the video. Peta even compares the way we treat animals to the Holocaust.

This is disgusting, I hope they get sued for this.
    PETA Commercial

A new ad meant to tout the benefits of a vegan diet instead paints a bleak portrait of domestic abuse.

The controversial commercial, from animal rights group PETA, shows a young woman walking home. She's wearing a neck brace, and clutching her jacket as she grimaces in apparent pain.

It's a dismal scene that seems fit for an anti-violence ad.

    A narrator explains:

"This is Jessica. She suffers from BWVAKTBOOM, 'Boyfriend Went Vegan and Knocked the Bottom Out of Me,' a painful condition that occurs when boyfriends go vegan and can suddenly bring it like a tantric porn star."

Once Jessica arrives home and chucks a bunch of celery at her boyfriend, it becomes clear that she's roughed up from sex, not abuse.

Her boyfriend's vegan diet has simply set his libido into overdrive, it seems.

According to Linsday Rajt, PETA's associate director of campaigns and outreach, the commercial is "tongue-in-cheek."

“She had vigorous sex, so she looks disheveled. But the bottom line is, she’s coming back from the grocery store with an armful of vegetables because she enjoyed it so much,” Rajt explained to the Daily News. “It’s meant to be humorous.”

“We’re kind of issuing a fun warning to people that if their partner goes vegan, they will have so much stamina that it will knock them over,” she said.

Rajt also says the ad is a great health message for men, pointing out that many men don’t realize that high cholesterol found in animal products can create problems for sexual performance.

Part of the BWVAKTBOOM campaign is a racy website that lists “tips” on silent screaming, Kegel exercises and sex-proofing the bedroom.

The ad can also be viewed on the NSFW website.

Despite PETA's insistence that the campaign is all in good fun, some viewers think the group went too far.

“I think it’s sad that you equate good sex with painful, violent sex, I guess you’re trying to be sarcastic,” wrote James Jewell, in the comments section of the organization's website.

“Cannot find the humor in this at all!” wrote another viewer, Mum LaCroix. “I worked with domestic violence for 4 years . . . this ad is not amusing.”

“PETA . . . stopping abuse of animals ... but promoting it for women.”

According to Michael Learmonth, digital editor at Advertising Age, PETA was going for “shock value” with the ad.

“But I don’t think portraying women as beat up physically is a good idea, even in jest,” he said to Yahoo News.

“These ads aren’t made for TV, so the strategy here is that they will cause controversy, trigger coverage and go viral.”

The ad, which released on Valentine's Day, isn’t the first time the group has used the “sex sells” tactic in a campaign.

PETA’s anti-milk Super Bowl ad showed a group of women stripping their shirts off and revealing not breasts but udders. The ad was banned from airing, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Last summer, the group announced it was creating a porn website. PETA.xxx has yet to launch, but the organization has said its goal is to have a “pornography site that draws attention to the plight of animals,” according to the Huffington Post.

She sure as hell does not look like she enjoys being beat up. Here is the counter video to this.

All I have to say, this is not news to me. PETA kills 90% of the animals they 'rescue', and anyone who thinks they care about animals and supports PETA needs a big slap to the face. Even if, say, I was vegan/vegetarian, I'd never give a shred of support to them.

Wow..that site has many many facebook followers.
Recently it was reported on the news that Seaworld is being sued again because they're violating an Orca's 13th Admendment right.

    http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/loca...138784254.html

Of course this only applies if the Orca was born here, I'm sure that's the argument.

PETA is nothing more than a marxist world view which they are trying to force people to be tied behind there backs and obey there ever wish. I always have a word for these people and they are do gooders and nothing else. Whether it is the environment or animals rights or fighting the war on poverty, etc. these groups make anyone who do not subscribe to there idealogy an enemy of there agenda and they would do you in if they had the chance. Also there efforts to turn the world into vegans is laughable and the strangest of all ideas that the world has seen. You want to be a vegan that is your choice, but do not force it on others who choose not to be vegans.

I was shocked about the 90% animal kill rate but I should know better. Eating meat does not make you an animal hater but PETA are the true animal haters. Animals deserve a right to exist and no group should tread on that basic right of life. I myself have taken stay cats to the vets to be taken care of and treat that cat like it's my own. One of my passions in life is my love for animals and wildlife and a goal of mine is to donate to a good wildlife cause and I will never support PETA and similar organizations. PETA's true intentions are indeed evil.

Once again, PETA killing animals has made the news. I will warn you that the pictures in this article are horrific.
When PETA employees like Teresa Chagrin and Daphna Nachminovitch turn off their computers after a long day of work, do they sit back with a contented smile and think, “I had a great day, I caused a lot of animals to die today”? Since they were hired to protect PETA’s ability*to round up and kill 97% of animals they seek out, including “healthy,” “adoptable,” “perfect” and “adorable” ones—all descriptions used by PETA employees to describe animals they have slaughtered, is a “good day at the office” a lot of killing?
I do not know if they kill the animals themselves, but they certainly encourage it, defend it, promote it and work to ensure that “shelters” across the country keep doing it, too. And judging by how many letters to the editor they write on that score and how PETA appears to be increasing its anti-No Kill rhetoric, it is job they do with relish. Why? Because they are part of the PETA death cult, people who do what their charismatic leader, Ingrid Newkirk, tells them to do: defend, legitimize and promote the killing of companion animals, even if that means “lying.”

I put “lying” in quotes because it is not clear whether they know they are not telling the truth. If they aspired to be rational, sincere, dedicated to animal rights and true animal lovers, they would be lying. But they are none of those things. And because PETA appears to be a cult and by a cult’s very nature, any information from outside the cult is considered evil, especially if it is opposing the cult, and because cults train their members to instantly destroy any critical information given to them and not even entertain the thought that the information could be true, it is not clear whether Nachminovitch or Chagrin are even capable of the logical analysis necessary to determine if anything related to No Kill or PETA’s annual slaughter of animals is true or not true.
They ignore the fact that dozens of No Kill communities representing hundreds of towns and cities across America now exist in order to argue that “open admission” shelters cannot be No Kill. They ignore the fact that pet overpopulation is a myth because the number of people who bring a new animal into their home (demand), far exceeds supply in order to argue that there aren’t enough homes for animals. And they ignore the fact that No Kill has nothing to do with hoarding in order to claim that they do.

It is therefore no surprise that despite the facts and evidence to the contrary, once again, the people that have put to death over 27,000 animals in the last ten years, who have argued for a Pit Bull ban in all shelters and thus a mass slaughter, who champion the round up and killing of free-living cats, and who oppose rescue access laws would release yet another article equating No Kill with hoarding and arguing that giving animals a quick death should always be the norm. In this recent attack, they write that No Kill shelters “warehouse animals, often in substandard, filthy, and severely crowded conditions, for weeks, months, or even years on end;” that “no homes exist” for animals; and that the lucky animals are the ones who are killed at traditional shelters—all assertions that are not only untrue, but easily refuted by the many successful No Kill communities across the nation. And so it should also surprise no one that despite listing 43 “examples” of “No Kill shelters” and “No Kill rescue groups” where animals were allegedly kept in substandard conditions in order to prove their claims, these examples not only prove the opposite, they show that PETA is willing to simply make up stories to defend their killing.
