It existed in Neanderthals, but some sources mention that the Predmost3 specimen, a Central European Cromagnoid exhibited the same feature.
Since I belief that these CE Cromagnoids are ancestral to the Tydal and Paleo-Atlantid races, it would be interesting to research of there are still limited but indicative survivals of retromolar gaps in PA's.
