London, ON Cop Tazes Black Youth to End Fight: "Police Brutality"

So a white cop puts an end to a fight between black youths where weapons are (or will) possibly involved, and it becomes a matter of "police brutality". Watch the typical response of the mostly non-white youth as the police officer does his duty by ending the fight, and possibly saving one or both of the combatants from more serious injury...

All I see is an officer doing his job. Split second decision.

"Why did you shot him!?" My immediate response would be something to lines of: "None of your %#%# business!". Good thing I am not a police officer. I do not know if I could deal with such responses each and every day of my life.

Why do these teenagers think that they know more about law enforcement then police officers? What gives them the right to start second-guessing the tactics and techniques of someone who has actually received the proper training? And what is this nonsense with referring to an adult wearing a uniform as "bro"?

"Respect for authorities" should be a subject on school curriculum.

Of course the cop did the right thing. If the crowd's reaction is an indication of what the black thug's reaction would have been had the cop merely asked him to stop, then it is clearly better to hit him with the tazer first. I, too, think it would be difficult for me to contain myself in such a situation as a cop. Cops 1 Negroid thugs 0

LONDON, Ont. — About 150 people took to the streets of London, Ont., on Monday to protest the Tasering a 17-year-old boy by police.

The crowd marched to city hall and police headquarters, and stopped traffic at the intersection of Richmond and Dundas Streets.

Among the protesters were many high school students, including some who attend the same school as the boy who was Tasered.

The incident, which happened on Thursday, was caught on a cellphone camera and posted on YouTube.

Police have said the use of the shocking device was justified in order to stop a fight between two 17-year-old boys.

The boy who was hit by the stun gun has been charged with assault with a weapon.

I live in London. I remember how much people made a stink about this.

The sergeant who did this is a seasoned veteran. Besides, the video is misleading. According to the officer in his report which was reviewed by the Mayor of London, the kid who was tazed was using a belt and a metal chair as a weapon which wasn't recorded on the footage. He was doing his job, plain and simple. He had to act quickly.
