    Marx for sure isn't that much of an Icon for leftists it was before WW2 anymore. But there are still a lot of "leftist intellectuals" that still celebrate him in some way. And well, there is still a lot of supporters globally, he said rather unkind word about.

    So it can be useful. But many left-leaning folks would be immune to this. What's needed is of course showing a workable philosophy that can displace Marxism and related philosophies.
