Is the BBC the Most Subversive Force in the UK?

It's supposed to be sci-fi, not sex-fi: Hundreds of viewers complain to BBC over 'pointless' gay scenes in Torchwood
    By CHRIS HASTINGS

The BBC has been inundated with complaints about explicit homosexual love scenes in its blockbuster sci-fi drama Torchwood.
More than 500 viewers complained directly to the broadcaster about ‘soft porn’ scenes in Thursday’s episode, which they said were ‘pointless’, irrelevant to the plot and out of place in a sci-fi show.
Dozens of fans vented their fury online and several have vowed to boycott the BBC1 show.

Explicit: John Barrowman as Captain Jack with Angelo (Daniele Favilli) in scenes from Thursday's episode
Despite the complaints the BBC has still made the programme available via its iPlayer service and it is planning to repeat it on BBC2 tomorrow night.

One viewer wrote online: ‘This show is meant to be a sci-fi show. I had to turn it off as my grandson, an avid sci-fi fan, was in the room.
'I am sure both myself and others are disgusted at last night’s show. Leave the gay scenes for the programmes more suited – not sci-fi.’

Turn-off: The BBC received hundreds of complaints after Thursday's episode aired
Another accused the BBC of turning the show into ‘gay porn’ and a third wrote: ‘The homosexual content is totally out of proportion and so we have decided not to watch any more.’
Torchwood – an anagram of Doctor Who, from which it is a spin-off – charts the adventures of a team of sci-fi investigators led by Captain Jack Harkness, a time-travelling adventurer who is ‘pan-sexual’ and who is played by actor John Barrowman, himself gay.
Fans of the series, created by Russell T. Davies, the homosexual writer of Doctor Who and Queer As Folk, have long known about Captain Jack’s sexual preferences.

Complaints: Some of the viewers online opinions
But many, including younger viewers who know Barrowman’s character from Doctor Who, have been increasingly alarmed by the current series, which they feel has become obsessed with exploring Jack’s sex life in the most explicit manner possible.
Thursday’s episode, Immortal Sins, was largely devoted to Captain Jack’s relationship with a young Italian called Angelo, played by Daniele Favilli.
Within minutes of the programme starting at 9pm, viewers saw a seven-minute scene of homosexual seduction. It began with the two men standing at a window in a New York apartment and discussing a woman in a neighbouring block.

Torchwood: Captain Jack Harkness, is a time-travelling adventurer who is ¿pan-sexual¿ and who is played by John Barrowman, himself gay.
The men draw closer as they exchange highly charged comments which reveal more about their own passions for each other than they do about the woman opposite.
Harkness says: ‘What would you like to do to her?’ before adding: ‘I’d strip off her clothes maybe a little too quickly, something might tear.’
The men share a passionate kiss and the camera then cuts to them cavorting in bed.
While they are still in bed, Harkness quizzes the young man about his first sexual experience and he replies: ‘A boy from my village. In secret. In the woods.’
Towards the end of the episode Harkness and the young Italian, who has just been released from prison, are shown caressing in the room where they previously made love.
Harkness tells him: ‘You don’t know whether to hit me or to kiss me do you? Come on, you can try both.’
David Turtle, a spokesman for Mediawatch UK, the viewers’ campaign group, said: ‘The BBC will say the programme is being shown after the 9pm watershed.
‘But it doesn’t alter the fact that the programme is watched by a lot of young people and is easily accessible on iPlayer at any time of the day.
‘I think the BBC risks losing face with the audience who will become increasingly disconnected from what they see on screen.’
The BBC said: ‘We felt the content was justified in terms of the con¬text and character and within the expectations of regular viewers.
‘We aim to depict relationships, whether hetero¬sexual or homo¬sexual, in an honest and realistic way. These scenes are not meant to cause offence.’

What would England be like without the BBC?
Nationalistic, English and a lot better.
BBC is a State political broadcasting institution for moulding and forming national opinion.
    And certainly not British.
It’s a totalitarian political replacement for Anglicanism.
Managed by jews, staffed with queers and foreigners.
Like Newspapers, the days of TV are numbered.

If you worship your enemy, you are defeated.
If you adopt your enemy’s religion, you are enslaved.
If you breed with your enemy, you are destroyed.

BBC: ‘Era of TV With White Men Imparting Knowledge is Over’

The era of TV shows in which white males impart information on a subject is dead, a top BBC executive has said, stating the corporation must find “different ways” of bringing expert insight and knowledge to audiences in future.

BBC Four editor Cassian Harrison, an upper middle-class white male, told the Edinburgh Television Festival that people are no longer interested in “static” television programmes featuring a white male presenter talking about a topic, The Times reports.

“There’s a mode of programming that involves a presenter, usually white, middle-aged and male, standing on a hill and ‘telling you like it is’. We all recognise the era of that has passed. “What we’re looking for is different ways to shift a form. Different ways we can bring that specialism, that information, that insight to audiences,” he said, adding that the bosses of other BBC channels had also decided that the format was outdated.

Earlier this year the former head of BBC Comedy, Shane Allen, said a production like Monty Python with a cast of “six Oxbridge white blokes” would not be commissioned today, explaining that the corporation is instead intent on hiring people “who reflect the modern world”.

Speaking after a number of comedy programmes fronted by women and ethnic minorities were unveiled, Allen pointed to the relatively unknown recent BBC 3 sketch show Famalam, the whole cast of which is black, to highlight the corporation’s “diverse” new content.

Breitbart London has previously reported how the corporation offers highly desirable paid staff ‘internships’ which white people cannot apply for, claiming that the drive for ever-greater ‘diversity’ is to ensure the BBC’s workforce “reflects the UK”.

However, figures from last month revealed the public broadcaster employs more than 400 individuals who identify as transgender — a figure four times higher than the general population — and that the proportion of lesbian, gay, and bisexual staff members at the BBC was almost five times that of the country at large.

Neglecting to comment on the underrepresentation of heterosexuals in the corporation’s workforce, BBC diversity chief Tunde Ogungbesan instead insisted that more lesbians needed to be hired.

It's a very politically correct organisation, yes. But it wasn't always so, and I think it reflects the zeitgeist more than it shapes it.

Anyway, by far the most subversive forces in Britain and elsewhere are advertising and marketing by commercial companies.

Currently it is a progressive mess. I've been unable to watch the BBC News channel for over 6 months now due to it's blatant biases. It's a massive shame, it certainly hasn't always been like this, but since the Brexit vote the progressive ideology has been ratcheted up.

UK Regulator Finds Ethnic Minorities Over-Represented on TV, Demands More Diversity Anyway

White people and heterosexuals are underrepresented in the British television industry, an Ofcom audit has found — but the watchdog still insists there is “much more to do on diversity”.

The report came a couple of days after Ofcom declared increasing representation of minority groups was “a priority” for the regulator, warning broadcasters would face “disaster” without making diversity central to their work.

Ofcom’s content policy director, Jacquie Hughes, said: “If you’re not constantly working on that you are not only suggesting some people are invisible but you are missing a chance to engage with them.”

Audiences, especially young people, “are used to seeing race and religious and sexual diversity as the norm,” she told an event in Westminster, claiming British broadcasters would be unable to compete with global streaming services such as Netflix without making representation of LGBT people and ethnic minorities a major focus.

“If your audiences have broadened expectations of what they would like to see with regards to representation and lives they can access and you are not offering them that you will be increasingly less relevant,” she claimed.

Ofcom’s Diversity and Equal Opportunities in Television 2018 report was published on Thursday, a year after the watchdog ordered broadcasters make a serious effort to monitor and record workers’ ‘protected characteristics’ in order to “identify under-represented groups and help tackle a lack of diversity in UK television”.

While there was a data gap of 41 percent with regards to sexuality, the audit found 4 percent of people working in the TV industry identified as lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB) compared to 2 percent of the general population, while 49 percent of employees said they were heterosexual compared to 93 percent of the general population.

Despite the apparently significant underrepresentation of heterosexuals in the figures, Ofcom recommended broadcasters improve the career progression of sexual minorities and hire more lesbians, amongst a number of recommendations.

It also took issue with official government data on the proportion of LGB people in Britain, declaring 2 per cent to be “too low” and directing readers to a survey that claimed sexual minorities make up 6.5 percent of the population.

According to the analysis, 13 percent of TV industry employees are from an ethnic minority compared to 12 per cent of the British labour market, with the figure rising to 15 per cent amongst workers at Sky, 18 per cent at Channel 4, and 19 per cent at Viacom.

White people were revealed to be underrepresented in the data, which showed they comprise 71 per cent of the UK-based TV industry compared to 88 per cent of the wider labour market — however, this was not considered a problem by Ofcom, which praised efforts by all five of the main broadcasters focused on “improving representation of employees from minority ethnic backgrounds”.

Lamenting that certain ethnic groups including Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are “significantly underrepresented” in TV careers, the report urged broadcasters to develop policies which would “target and tackle under-representation of specific ethnic groups in order to achieve a workforce which truly reflects the UK population and audiences.”

While claiming the push for greater “diversity” is so TV companies have a workforce which “reflects modern Britain and the lives and experiences of their whole audience”, the regulator says broadcasters “should be aiming” to have a workforce more closely matching London’s population, where 36 per cent of workers are from minority ethnic backgrounds and the demographics are not representative of the country at large.

Vikki Cook, Ofcom Director of Standards and Audience Protection, said: “We’re encouraged that major broadcasters understand the need to attract people who may not feel they can make a career in TV. “This is in broadcasters’ interests, because it helps them make programmes that reflect the whole UK. “But our report shows how far there is to go. We expect broadcasters to build on the momentum of the last year, and to keep improving their monitoring and staff diversity in the coming months.”

UK is 20% non-white but the BBC gives the impression that it is the other way round 80% non-white.

BBC never was a public broadcasting company but a state run social engineering and propaganda service. So considering who runs it today, its no surprize the race mixing crap they impose on the nation.

The BBC is dominated by homosexuals and foreigners

"It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism… Executives would let the Bible be thrown into a dustbin on a TV comedy show, but not the Koran, and that they would broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden if given the opportunity. Further, it discloses that the BBC's 'diversity tsar', wants Muslim women newsreaders to be allowed to wear veils when on air. At the secret meeting in London last month… BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians. One veteran BBC executive said: 'There was widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness. Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it.' In one of a series of discussions, executives were asked to rule on how they would react if the controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, known for his offensive characters Ali G and Borat, was a guest on the programme Room 101. On the show, celebrities are invited to throw their pet hates into a dustbin and it was imagined that Baron Cohen chose some kosher food, the Archbishop of Canterbury, a Bible and the Koran.

Nearly everyone at the summit, including the show's actual producer and the BBC's head of drama, Alan Yentob, agreed they could all be thrown into the bin, except the Koran for fear of offending Muslims. In a debate on whether the BBC should interview Osama Bin Laden if he approached them, it was decided the Al Qaeda leader would be given a platform to explain his views.

And the BBC's 'diversity tsar', Mary Fitzpatrick, said women newsreaders should be able to wear whatever they wanted while on TV, including veils. Ms Fitzpatrick spoke out after criticism was raised at the summit of TV newsreader Fiona Bruce, who recently wore on air a necklace with a cross.

The full account of the meeting shows how senior BBC figures queued up to lambast their employer.

Political pundit Andrew Marr said: 'The BBC is not impartial or neutral. It's a publicly funded, urban organisation with an abnormally large number of young people, ethnic minorities and gay people. It has a liberal bias not so much a party-political bias. It is better expressed as a cultural liberal bias'…

Former BBC business editor Jeff Randall said he complained to a 'very senior news executive', about the BBC's pro-multicultural stance but was given the reply: 'The BBC is not neutral in multiculturalism: it believes in it and it promotes it.' Randall also told how he once wore Union Jack cufflinks to work but was rebuked with: 'You can't do that, that's like the National Front.

There was another heated debate when the summit discussed whether the BBC was too sensitive about criticising black families for failing to take responsibility for their children… But Ms Fitzpatrick, who has said that the BBC should not use white reporters in non-white countries, argued it had a duty to 'contextualise' why black youngsters behaved in such a way.

Andrew Marr told The Mail on Sunday last night: 'The BBC must always try to reflect Britain, which is mostly a provincial, middle-of-the-road country. Britain is not a mirror image of the BBC or the people who work for it'."

Marr's remarks are interesting, given what he said in the 28 February 1999 edition of The Observer. On that day, Marr presented the most Orwellian declaration of intent that I have ever read in an mainstream British newspaper to the British people. This is what was said:"Widespread and vigorous miscegenation (race mixing)... is the best answer...

Teachers are the most effective anti-racist campaigners in the country, this means more than education in other religions, it means a form of political education. Only people who understand the economic forces changing their world, threatening them... have a chance of being immune to the old tribal chants.

And the final answer, frankly, is the vigorous use of state power to coerce and repress... I firmly believe that repression can be a great, civilising instrument for good. Stamp hard on certain 'natural' beliefs for long enough and you can almost kill them off... A new Race Relations Act will impose the will of the state on millions of other lives too.

Funny how Andrew Marr seems to be on our side now, isn't it? I reckon those who have destroyed our society and betrayed our people on behalf the multiculatural project are getting worried. And some of the brighter worriers are scoring a few Brownie points now in the hope that any future retribution may be warded off.

Thus, Andrew Marr takes out a spot of life insurance against those he was so eager to see off just seven years before. He's one of us now, you see. He's seen the error of his ways. He no longer wants to breed the British out of existence. He doesn't want to 'stamp hard' on our 'natural beliefs' any more, he doesn't think that killing us off is such a good idea nowadays. Some day soon, ladies and gentlemen, the Marrs, the Yentobs and the Fitzpatricks will no longer be determining our fate. We will be determining theirs.

The BBC is dominated by homosexuals and foreigners, The Daily Mail
    , 21 October 2006.

"BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians" and its still called the BBC British Broadcasting Corporation. Nothing British about it.

Twelve years on from this article, if anything, things are much worse.

Muslim BBC Boss, who Gave Platform to Islamist Extremist, Appointed Head of Religion

A BBC editor who selected an Islamic State sympathiser to feature in a documentary has been appointed as the corporation’s new head of religious programming.

Fatima Salaria is the second Muslim to hold the position after Aaqil Ahmed became the BBC’s head of religion and ethics in 2009.

Mrs. Salaria was appointed as a BBC Assistant Commissioner in 2015 during a drive to promote people from “BAME [Black and Minority Ethnic] backgrounds… designed to ‘open doors’ to new talent from diverse backgrounds.”

In September 2016, the BBC also appointed Martin Bashir, who once suggested someone should “shit” in Sarah Palin’s mouth on American television, as their religious affairs correspondent.

Mrs. Salaria commissioned the reality TV show Muslims Like Us last year, described as a ‘Muslim Big Brother’.

It featured Anthony Small – also known as Abdul Haqq – a supporter of jailed radical cleric Anjem Choudary who has defended Islamic State and was involved with the banned terror group Al-Muhajiroun.

He was even arrested in Dover in 2014 and later charged with plotting to go to Syria to fight with Islamic State after spreading terrorist material online.
Defending the decision, the BBC claimed Mr. Small “represent[s a] voice” within the British Muslim population.

Professor Anthony Glees, of the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, told the Daily Mail: “If a BBC executive makes a programme that is notorious and then the BBC promotes them, it tells me that the BBC has in that area lost its moral compass.”

The BBC defended Mrs. Salaria Friday night: “People should be judged by their ability to do the job, not their religious background,” a spokesman told The Times. “Fatima was appointed as she is an extremely talented commissioner.“We’ve strengthened our focus on religion and ethics within television and have been clear that we plan to do even more to reflect the role of religion in modern Britain, with Christianity at the heart of our coverage.”

In May 2016, a report on the BBC’s religious output across TV and radio claimed the corporation was biased toward Christianity.
At the end of last year, it was reported that there was an internal push to increase coverage of other religions, which could include the broadcasting of the Muslim call to Friday prayers.

For the 2011 census, in England and Wales, the White British self-classification option ... According to the 2011 UK Census, White British are 64% Christian, mostly Anglican in England (or Presbyterian in Scotland), while the percentage for all groups is about 59%. About 27% of the White British population reported having "no religion" Wiki

Are these appointments of "the BBC’s head of religion and ethics in2009 and 2016" representative or fair?

Anglican regular Church going in Britain is down to 200,000 a week. If the BBC had its way it would be zero - none.

I suppose the most powerful subversives are the teachers who drill anti-nationalist opinions into the minds of children and teenagers. How do you stop that?

The difference is few people actually willingly watch CNN. Most times its on at places like airports
and waiting rooms and such. They actually pay places to have it on.
