My experience with the Siamese variety of felines has made me conclude their dispositions are generally more aggressively unpredictable than most other varieties of felines. But your "old boy" might be an exception. Is he?

I have an older tuxedo DSH, and an older orange colored tabby 'tiger' male. Both are large and lazy. But the tux is the tribal leader.

My other six felines are female, and vary in size and age. They are usually more vocal. And, of course, their individual dispositions vary from timid to bold, and gentle to 'don't mess with me'. But they are all basically furry sweethearts.

I know. Siameses have bit bad reputation in some parts of world (among of people). Just like you said. I do't know is it just reputation (not true; just rumors) or is there something really behind of talks. As with all bedigree cats...gene pole is not very huge. It's always possible that some blood lines have been more aggressive.

My cat is not (anyway). But I admit that then he was younger, he was surely much more active (moving & doing more) than most of other cats and was more loud too. Still not angry. Honestly I have been in several cats shows in Finland and siameses are not the most aggressive cats at all. For example Somali cats or Bengals cats are in totally other class/level.

I have a Siamese cat (or at least a mix - she doesn't have the rail-thin frame or weird shaped head some of them do) and she is one of the least aggressive animals I've ever known. She basically has two modes... sleep and politely asking for attention. She's even too nice to stalk bugs.

I think Siamese cats get their bad rap from Lady and the Tramp (definitely a canine-centric movie,) where they knock things over and get Lady in trouble. It's just a cartoon, but we all see that at a young age and the impression sticks.

I like both cats and dogs, but I have a slight preference for dogs.

I'm cat person (I guess cats are bit like me ...what comes to their personalities ... LOL). But I like all animals ... incl. dogs.

As grown up in country sides I'm familiar with many animals.

I don't have the room or the time for a dog so that leaves cats. My cat acts like a dog though.
He's clingy and he whufs like a dog sometimes.

I have no time for either. Both cats and dogs are parodies of their original form, emasculated by man for his amusement. Animals belong in the Wild-they should not be 'tamed' or domesticated.
