Cows milk has many advantages and contains important nutrients, so it´s no wonder that we Germanics learned to digest and utilize milk in a biological and genetical way in form of adaption and evolution.

I can´t stand goat milk or soy milk, though. The taste is awful, I´d say I´m too accustomed to cows milk after 25 years of usage.

Nothing better than fine Bavarian cows milk.
Goat milk IS disgusting. My father had goats when we were growing up. He made us drink goat milk straight up....only after it had been filtered through a cheese cloth. It was gross, but since it was the only milk we had access to for cereal or whatnot.....we got used to it over time.

Now? Ugh. I can't even stand the smell of it, nor can I stand the taste of goat cheese.

We buy organic cow's milk here. It tastes so much better than the nonorganic variety

Well, that explains why I never see Asians at work drinking any milk! Seriously I don't see them drinking any milk; whats so ever!

Either the Asians have a class of water or fruit and very rarely buy a soft drink from the drink machine!

Thanks, I never knew other races could not digest cow's milk!

I use to drink full cream cows milk but I only drink light cows milk now!

I should have been more clear. No hormones added by humans.

Being able to drink milk is a peculiarity of our race, for example most Asians cannot digest it properly and get stomach ache or wind, as - in contrast to us - they lack a certain enzyme we still have as adults. I don't think adult mammals (including us) need to drink milk, it's proteine from a different species. I don't think this can be good.

I don't like soy milk, it tastes awful. Furthermore I don't want to support soy farmers who kill rain forest to gain farming land (and the whole industry behind it). I only drink water, coffee or tea, but no fruit juices. Ok, and sometimes some alcohol
You are referring to Lactose Intolerance. Germanics, as a rule, do not have it.....you are correct

This is really interesting Hersir. I knew that this is true in North America but I assumed European milk was much better. I thought Europe had banned the use of chemicals in milk.
All things must come to the soul from it's roots, from where it is planted. The that is beside the running water is fresher, and gives more fruit.

Well of course, these growth hormones mess with testosterone but soy has more of an effect on that as well, and soy is also sneakily put into meat products and dairy believe it or not.

I like cheese, yogurt, ice cream etc. But not milk. Unless it's flavored I think it tastes bad and too much gives me a stomach ache.

    Gentlemen,

    Milk, a very interesting subject.
I love cows milk and would drink a half gallon daily if I had it.
I would even keep a milk cow or better yet a few milk goats and drink fresh milk every day, and may as my land gets improved enough. But I have never tasted goats milk or raw cows milk and need to try it first.
I live on 25 acres here in north Texas and have poultry, horses and hounds. A garden 30' x 120', 15 acres of woods to cut 'Oak cook wood' and Elm and Hackberry 'stove wood' out of. I have always tried to improve my land in order that it be productive. 1200' of fencing, a 3 pt hitch tiller to go behind the tractor, and more poultry coops are the most expensive things the land still needs.

I gardened for 37-38 years, and about five minutes before reading 'the cows milk post', was downloading USDA home canning information. I have wanted to raise milk critters all my life and 'the cow milk post' here inspired me to carry on with the learning process.
I will find some goat milk and raw cows milk and try it as some people hate the taste. And move along with the raising of milk critters.

Thank y'all for the idea and the inspiration.

    I love milk...
