-In kalte Schatten versunken...
(Heimdalls Wacht, In kalte Schatten versunken, stanzas 4-6)
Some of the top athletes say it is not the supplements that are key to their performance, but it is how they eat.
There can be vegetarians who are not in peak health from eating processed grains such as bleached pasta also. Most processed foods are not good for one's health.
People who eat fresh meat don't poison their bodies with sodium nitrite. Nor MSG (bacon, sausage, beef jerky) nor all the other chemical additives typically added to meat products. That's something to remember if you shop for meat of any kind. And don't forget that unless it's organic meat, it's almost certainly contaminated with GMOs, because cows, pigs and chickens are all fed genetically modified corn and soy as part of their diets. - Mike Adams, the Health Rangerhttp://www.naturalnews.com/032890_re...additives.htmlAn alarming number of vegetarians, I've discovered, are chronically deficient in omega-3s and vitamin B12.-Mike Adams
I knew there was an increased cancer risk, but I didn't know it was this bad. There doesn't seem to be much red meat that is safe to eat anymore that is commonly sold in public.
http://www.totalhealthbreakthroughs....n-consumption/The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has just completed a detailed review of more than 7,000 clinical studies covering links between diet and cancer. Its conclusion is rocking the health world with startling bluntness: Processed meats are too dangerous for human consumption.

In my opinion, if you need the amount of "factory farms" that we have then it means that there is too many people on this planet.
Factory farms are more than just inhumane slaughterhouses; they're also ecological and biological nightmares that lack strict regulations. Besides animals living in cramped quarters and being injected with a cocktail of antibiotics, hormones, and painkillers you have biological wastes being irrigated to outside lagoons (known as manure lagoons) that can leech into the groundwater or rivers. This is also compounded with the chemical wastes used in the "processing" of these "animals."
Also, if you really think on it for a moment the factory animal isn't really your typical cow, chicken, or hog. What you really have is an animal that is drugged up and neurotic. The chronic stress on these animals does nothing but impair their immune system and flood the body with harmful free radicals. The result is a sick animal - an inferior product.
It doesn't take a genius to see that our mainstream diet is not the way to go. While we embrace our advancements in research and medicine it is amazing to see how many people develop, acquire, and die from chronic diseases.
"Life; it kills 100% of those who experience it."
Y'all are right,
Eggs raised in cramped cages by caged hens are sad eggs.
The eggs and the meat are sad, so sad. Those animals were sad their whole lives. They never ate well or were out in the sunlight. No room to move around, no light, no fresh air or water, their whole lives were sad.
Imagine spending your whole life in an elevator with ten other people, eating out of the same pan and crapping on the floor, your whole life.
Looking at those store bought eggs or store bought chicken meat
makes me cry.
It's worse for cows. Slaughter houses are horrible.
I'm an old trapper/hunter but the thought of a slaughter house makes me shake all over. I hate it.
Same as a prison, it would be kinder to kill all those men.
I guess It's just me.
