Finger Length Helps Predict Test Exam Results, Homosexuality, Cancer, Musical Ability and Aggressive Personality -- Study Shows

Your finger length can predict how you will do on various tests in school. They can also tell if you are likely to be homosexual or straight, if you will likely get certain cancers, be a musician, writer or a scientist, or if you will have an aggressive or passive personality. The two fingers that are important are the index finger -- the one you use to point to something -- and the ring finger.

This sounds quite interesting although I have heard about digit ratio before.

I'm wondering though how one does exactly measure his finger. When taken with a calliper (like shown on wikipedia for instance) my ring finger is longer than my index finger. If I look at it the way they do on the link you've posted my index finger seems to be higher up though because of the anatomy of my hands.

I think they just look at how the fingers align at the tip of the hand, they don't take other hand anatomy into consideration, that's my impression anyway. My index finger is a bit higher than, and hence looks longer than my ring finger.

I just read this article last week where they found that finger length ratio in men is related to attractiveness to women.

There's a lot of truth to this, I think, because the more I think about it, the more I see that it applies to me. I majored in math but I didn't particularly like it. I am more of a word person, and prefer writing. And amazingly my fingers suggest that I am more of a word person. I also follow intuition more than pure logic, which could be a downfall in some circumstances.
