What Types of Books Do You Read Most/Enjoy Reading Most?

For me it's various memoirs, and autobiographical-type books, but I enjoy fiction, history, and science-based books too.

I mostly read science books lately. But I do enjoy non scientific literature whenever I have free time for it. Authors I read lately were Nick Hornby, Haruki Murakami and Yukio Mishima.
Mishima was an exceptionally good author; and a pretty interesting guy - a hardcore nationalist. Don't know if your heard the story - he took hostage a commander of the Japanese self-defense force in the command camp after which he addressed the soldiers there trying to make them revolt against the ZOG occupation. The soldiers didn't take him serious and laughed at him so he finished his speech, returned inside and committed a ritual suicide.

I mostly read non-fiction books about history/warfare as well as historical and military novels.

While I'm at it I might recommend you anything by Bernard Cornwell!

I read some of Yukio Mishima's stories, and they're really great. He had a beautiful writing style, very poetic. It's hard to imagine that this sensitive guy was the same ultra-fascist who hijacked an army base and killed himself in public.

I barely read anything at all when I was younger, so now I'm doing some hardcore catching-up. Right now I'm reading Kazuo Ishiguro's "Never Let Me Go".

Oh, and I never finished the Julius Evola book where my sig comes from.

I tend to read a lot of history, but very little else. I recently finished reading 'Empire' (a history of the British Empire), by Niall Ferguson. I've read a lot of Ferguson recently, and have few complaints. I particularly enjoy reading about the British Empire, the Cold War, Germany (1871-1945), aswell as local history.

I do occasionally read alternative history, although it was perhaps six or seven months since I last did so (read 'Fatherland' by Robert Harris...didn't really enjoy it).

I read a lot military histories. I used to read a lot of philosophy. I like books, too, from and on medieval Germanic history, e.g. Asser's Life of King Alfred or Heimskringla, which has taken off since joining Skadi.

To answer truthfully I mostly read and write about the law in a professional capacity. For pleasure I have no interest in reading about the law unless it is war crimes and renditions. In my limited leisure time I mostly read non-fiction about the Third Reich or the Balkans. I also like pulpy horror novels and short stories.

Fantazy, sci fi, novels, sagas, fairy tales, non-fiction like history and science. I also like books on homesteading and survivalism.

Finished Neil Gaiman's book American Gods recently, a great read.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I'll read some fiction if it has some interesting cultural/philosophical stuff in it, but I usually stick to stuff that is real.
