    Post The Skadi Iron Cross

I think awarding the Skadi Iron Cross to those who helped Skadi get back on line was a wonderful idea. I just think it could be extended to show merit in another area. We have several members who regularly find and attach to their posts articles of interest to us all. I am especially thinking of articles on anthropology and genetics which these guys somehow find and bring to us all. Shouldn't their repeated efforts, going beyond "the call of duty" deserve a Skadi Iron Cross or something like it.?

It was a good idea! It was such a good idea that the basic principle should be extended to other individuals who have maintained the high level we take for granted at Skadi. This "high level" is what originally attracted me and I am sure many others here. They have not been given any formal or public recognition for their labors. Perhaps, every few months or so, a poll could be conducted and Iron Crosses awarded to the deserving. Or, the administrator could award Iron Crosses.

I do not think that Iron Crosses should be awarded for this -- seeing that they are a German military award reserved for those who have shown exceptional loyalty, bravery and comradeship in battle; risking their own lives in the defense of their nation and their people.

The administration could consider, however, to create a special user title ... similar to the "Skadi Funding Member" title for those whose contributions have been of particular excellence.

EK2.Ks were given out (during WW2) for non-military actions and they were given to non-'Germans' too. Well, I handed those out in-part for the sake of levity, although I was serious about wanting to see those persons awarded something... ...but, then again, perhaps it can be argued that they were just doing their jobs and were deserving of no special recognition.

You deserve a Ritterkreuz...maybe NSFreja and I will give you one! hehe

I've been meaning to suggest something along the line of "Skadi Awards" for the site (as well as a 'ranking system'); but now that you're leaving maybe I'll just file that idea away in my filing cabinets.

I'll give you a Ritter Sport instead.

Surely -- even non-Europeans got Ritterkreuze. They are still bestowed by the German Reich, however, and not by me, Skadi or you.

    Let's rather create a Hwizcros.

Heathens and heretics should not wear crosses anyway. They should be nailed to them.

Good traditional catholics shouldn't be member of an adult forum.
You wouldn't get communion from me if I was a catholic priest, unless you left that space and repent.
