I meant to put an explanation of why I decided to change my name in my post, but somehow I managed to forget. So, let's try this again... As I was looking through some older threads a few weeks back, I came across the "Proper Naming is Key" thread written by Anlef, where he makes very solid points in the importance of correct regional naming. The name “Olav” is of course, a great name, but I’m not Scandinavian. Which I know has confused some people in the past (I have a fair share of PMs in Norwegian and Swedish sitting in my inbox to prove it ). After deciding that a new name was in order, I compiled a list of atypical and typical Scottish names and finally picked a name that has not only been a personal favorite of mine for as long as I can remember, but is one that is commonly used in my family and is a name that is better suited for a Scot.
