You´re from "Inglund", you should know. It means to "put something on the shelf" and don´t do something now, but later.

There´re too many adopted Latin terms in English language. I had to google the meaning of that word as well. In Germany we say "Etwas aufschieben" or "Auf die lange Bank schieben".

BritishLad, to procrastinate (verb) means to put something off until the very last minute.

Let's say you have a homework assignment that's due on Friday and it's only Wednesday. You refuse to do it today because you have tomorrow. You will refuse to do it tomorrow because you have Friday morning. You will refuse to do it Friday morning because you think you'll be able to finish it before class... and then you don't have enough time.

It's a mental illness in my opinion.

I procrastinate so much it's not even funny. I spent all 7 years of college procrastinating, which is why it took me so darn long to get my bachelors degree

It must be indicative of something...

I don't know whether it's my constant exposure to chemicals (mercury in the fish that I eat for example), or my Eastern (Lithuanian) ancestry , but it clearly bothers me. I ALWAYS wait until the last minute to write a paper, or run an errand, etc.

This is the only thing about myself that I hate, that and my apparent need to share this with people Am I alone?
You are a perfectionist. But it could also be that you like others think about the racial mess of the world and that might have an effect on you.

I used to more back in the day, but since I've become a wife and mother, I cannot afford to procrastinate anymore and I think it's good. As the saying goes, "idle hands are the devil's workshop", so it's best to keep busy with what you're supposed to do. Actually now I feel accomplished if I finish a task in time or even early, and when I do get some spare time it feels much more rewarding. So now I've become the opposite of a procrastinator, I try to get the more unpleasant tasks out of the way first.

I rarely procrastinate. Most often I become a source of aggravation to my wife because I prefer to get everything from home chores to matters of important business done yesterday.

However, at her place of employment, my wife is virtually a wonder woman who provides a positive example to her co-workers, and impresses her employer so that he trusts her to substitute for him while he is away on business trips or vacations.
Aside from an ever increasing number of mortals who have willfully chosen to worship Satan and his minions, our battle has always been against the powers and principalities operating surreptitiously throughout this twisted world.
