Post Polish Women in the UK Are Having Babies at a Faster Rate Than Those in Poland

Polish women living in the UK are more likely to have children than the British and those living in Poland.
A better benefits system and the NHS have been given as the main reason behind families choosing to have their children here.
The extent to which people are prepared to put down roots in the UK goes some way to dispel the myth that people come here to work say researchers.

The study found that in England and Wales Polish women had 18,000 children in 2009 - making them second in fertility rates only to Pakistani women.
A further 2,000 children of Polish descent were born in Scotland.
The same year British women had a fertility rate of 1.84 compared with 2.48 for the Poles.

The figures have been released by researcher Krystyna Iglicka from the Centre for International Relations.
She said: 'Poles do not behave as immigrants from a country with a low fertility rate.'
One of the reasons believed to be behind the higher number of births is the NHS and the benefits available.

The increase in numbers means there are now 130,000 Polish children under the age of 14 living in the UK. (..)

Professer Iglicka said: 'Contrary to popular belief, today we are no longer dealing with short-term migration, but settlement. The decision to give birth to a child in another country is an attempt to make roots there.

Magda Karlicka in Oxford has had two children, Anthony and Leon. She said: 'We had not planned to stay here for so long, but it is good for us to live here.'
First they said that not so much Poles would come - wrong. And didn't they also say that most of them would return to Poland after they have worked abroad for a while? Wrong again. What a disaster having Poland as a EU member country, not only do our countries have to pay for the subventions they receive, but now Poles are pouring over many germanic countries in the millions.

Don't worry, once the EU gets more power, there will be no stigma of crossing "state" borders.

In the "United States," half the people cannot name half the "states." Are you ready for the joys of federalization, Europe?

Just wait for polish invasion of Germany after may 1st

Although I agree with opinions that polish problem is a problem of culture. These people if germanized, could be quite competent becouse they are of the similar (indoeuropean) racial stock. Of all slavs Poles and Czechs are less mongrelized and assimilated many millions of german settlers in the middle ages who now constitute large part of their populations. Blacks and latinos are a completely hopeless cause on the other hand.

I have to disagree. Many Poles don't even qualify as 'white', in my opinion. Non-white/Gypsy influenced Poles are so common I found the following in literally less than 5 minutes via Facebook:

I honestly think East Slavs are less weird looking than a lot of Poles, despite higher Asian admix in East Slavs.

Poland is composed of mainly borealized cro magnids/baltids, followed by Dinarids, Norics, and then progressive CM and Nordic types. At any rate the parts of Poland that are of interest to Germans have a racially sound and stock; it is the boorish culture that is undesirable.

You've just taken that directly from some outdated anthropological study. Never have I see anything by a late 19th/early 20th century that has accurately described the extent of Mongoloid and Gypsy influence in Eastern Europe. I can see for myself, with my own eyes, what the racial constitution of Poles is. I couldn't care less what Coon or whoever thought they were. It only matters what I think they are, and I judge them to be of exceedingly low racial quality.

And as for the "parts of Poland that are of interest to Germans," well, the whole of Poland falls within the EU, so the racial quality of all of Poland is relevant to Germans and all other Western European nations Poles infest.

The post-1945 population transfers within Poland greatly disrupted any 'sound stock' which had existed previously.

There were 10 million Poles living in the area annexed by the USSR, most of which were expelled into western Poland. Many of the people from the area of the new eastern border also moved into the captured German territories.
