    Thumbs Up Last Bought Book

Couldnt find a thread on this, so I made one.
Similar to the "what was the last album you bought" in the music section, here is one for books. Here we may find inspiration for books to buy etc.

The last book I bought was The Hero With A Thousand Faces, by Joseph Campbell, this was a few weeks back now. I've picked up books since then, many, from the library and for my studies rather than anything else.

Just yesterday I purchased "Late Victorian Holocaust: El Nino Famines and the making of the Third World" by Mike Davis. The book claims that the Third World was in fact caused not so much by natural factors, but primarily by poor administration by the British and the uprooting of traditional societies in favour of modern, centralised administration.
The book was purchased as part of a university course. The author is a very explicit Marxist who likes to refer to Marx, Lenin and Rosa Luxembourg for "explanations", but he still tells a moving story and has some good points.

Inspired by this thread, I've bought a Dutch translation of Roger Scruton's Culture Counts.

Inspired by this thread, I'm also planning to order the book Germania und die Insel Thule.
