In my experience they represent either the bottom end of the intelligence scale or the youth wing, they have no concept of being out of their depth or when to shut up, and they discredit everything nationalists are trying to say. There are more documentaries made about Neo-Nazis than any other form of nationalist, because liberal documentary makers know they make nationalism look bad.
In my personal opinion one cannot be both a Neo-Nazi and a nationalist (unless you are from Germany). Hitler, like Stalin, is responsible for destroying millions of lives and killing millions of white people. He intended to take down Germany in his downfall. He had some good points and ideas I can agree with or relate to but he harmed nationalism more then he helped it. I for one cannot understand why for example somebody in Norway or the Netherlands could cheer for someone who conquered their nation and killed their countrymen.Originally Posted by Witta

I don't have anything against genuine and honest National-Socialists - even though I am not one - but the stereotypical 'neo-nazi' is a thorn in our side. Yes, the media promotes the image of ignorant, boozed up thugs, but they wouldn't be able to if those people didn't already exist.
Nationalist politics is not very good at weeding out undesirables. And it's not because I think we need to be more 'moderate' - if you want to be moderate just vote UKIP. We don't live in 1930s Germany, if you value National-Socialism, present its core ideas in a manner relevant to modern day interests; waving swastikas around and Sieg Heiling all over the place is just superficial.
Many of the points in the Programme of the NSDAP are valid and sensible - common sense even. What's needed is to present those traditional and eternal values in a modern context.

Well, we all know history is written by the winners. I know very well the allies were far from saints; the bombings of Dresden were horrible to name one thing. However that does not prevent me from criticizing Hitler - he had some good ideas I agree with but he was responsible for attacking and annexing my country and killing my countrymen. Any real nationalist could never forget nor forgive the Germans for that. Especially not given the fact that members of my family, too, were killed in the war just because of the love they had for their nation and their people.
The defeat of Germany was mainly because Hitler was a lousy military commander. He was a brave man, I must give him that, but he sacrificed many good men and women and, as it eventually turned out, all in vain.
The invasion of Holland was not a great move by Hitler, and I believe the Dutch at the time were more pro-German than pro-British so it may well have been unnecessary. However, it was strategically placed between the two countries and imagine if Britain had got in there first ...

Perhaps Holland's biggest mistake (as harsh as it may seem) was to remain neutral at a time when - because of the train of events unleashed by Churchill - there was no room for neutrality in that part of the world
Still, I won't expand on this too much further because I realise the thread is about whether "Neo-Nazis" are the sort of people that Witta (an MSM victim) is portraying them as. Personally, I find them to be perfectly honourable individuals for the most part, as were the original NS, and I don't believe in disowning groups that have principles for a bunch of tacky opportunists who think they look good on the telly!!!
I have a neutral outlook on Neo-Nazi's, it really depends on the group of them I would imagine. I have never met any personally and only have seen them on TV. The ones that the media shows are pure shit on society. I imagine there are plenty of decent ones the media doesn't show though. Its the same as how the media shows anything they dislike. You don't see the decent nationalists or smart racists on TV either.

I guess there are many out there who are labeled as such by the media who make all nationalists look bad, but I don't think these have a lot to do with national socialism.
The core problem is that the media will always look for the most despicable people to slander all nationalists, right-wing movements etc. The tragic part is perhaps that some feeble minds see this skewed portrayal in the media and then mimic it, giving the media yet more material. This self-reinforcing process seems like a convenient way to create reality the way they want it to be instead of just documenting it.
I don't like the term anyway, the contraction of the words looks stupid and it's just used as a slur.
