What kinds of home made gifts do you make and give away?
Electronic gifts, like a cartoon of someone
Arts and crafts that can be touched
I do not make home made gifts
I have another opinion
What kinds of home made gifts do you make and give away?
I have made runes and given away, I made boxes out of birch bark.
I want to make some jewellery out of some antler I have, I guess I could invest in a dremel for that
I like to make my own postcards with natural elements like a wood or something like that. Also from time to time i can draw a portrait of a person and give it to him or her but making postcards is my favorite arts and crafts thing .
Yes I make handmade gifts I smith them out of iron, copper, and bronze. My gf paints glass Yule ornaments and bakes cookies and cakes for people all the time. Also we give people homegrown, home canned pickles, fruits, vegetables and other goodies.
One gift we give to people every year are spiced roasted almonds. These are very good and many people look forward to them every year.
It is good to encourage people to make and give their own gifts. To it is like giving part of your life to people as it took part of life to learn and make the gift.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.
I make hemp jewelry, paintings, and I also knit scarves, and I bake for people ^^
All things must come to the soul from it's roots, from where it is planted. The that is beside the running water is fresher, and gives more fruit.
I've yet to make one myself, but my mom makes small paintings for friends
I used to make homeade gifts when I was a child, but since I'm not very artistic or neat I never continued with it into adulthood. I used to like to make collages, cards, and potholders hehe.
Over the many years, I have given many bottles of my Homebrewed Mead and Wine. I've also made many hand-dipped candles, years ago.
I've taken some classes and lesson on Wood-carving. And I have given
hand-carved Rune plaques to Kinsmen and Family, to decorate their walls.
The time, energy and talent you invest in a hand-made gift frequently has more meaning to a dear friend or loved one than a gift you run out and buy.
And, the appreciation is heart warming.
