When the war ended some of the French Waffen SS were captured by the troops of general LeClerk .LeClerk ask them why they wore German uniforms .One of them answer:Sir why do you wear an american one?And general LeClerk ordered to execute them!!!!
Division Charlemagne volunteers fought only against bolshevists not against western allies so in my opinion all the persecutions against them were illegal!!!

It has been said that Leclerc's plane "accident" which caused his death had its root in the fact you describe -> a revenge of a relative ?
