    We have trout here, dolly varden, greyling, char, burbot... all fresh water.

    Do you find that onion overpowers the delicate flavor of the trout at all?

    Recently I have been putting chili powder in with the bread crumbs & other spices. I switched from flour because flour just seems too cakey. The bread crumbs give the fish a good crispy flakiness. Does anyone use flour & bread crumbs?

    Not that all my recipes include soda pop or anything, but if you dip a filet in ginger ale and than roll it in crushed corn flakes that is tasty.

    I put parsley etc. in my dredgings, also.
