I admit that I'm concerned about this financial crisis, and I want to invest in gold for security. Or BTC but its not exactly practical.

This is another of those universal Western policies. They only use this "drug dealer" thing as an excuse and as an effort to make you feel like a criminal for wanting the money that is rightfully yours in your own hands. Remember what happened in Cyprus? Yes, they want to be able to pick your pockets with impunity. THAT's why they have these policies. The Rothschilds and their ilk want to be able to give you numbers on a computer screen rather than cold hard cash. This is also why they have gold ETFs, so people will trade their numbers on a screen for other numbers on a screen that SAYS it represents real gold, but is really backed by only a fractional reserve of that reality.
Most people think as they are trained to think, and most people make a majority.

Being born and raised in Sweden I haven't had anything to do with guns, they aren't exactly a part of our culture. I do think it'd be very good to know how to use one (SHTF scenario or not) so when I move to the US my man will teach me how to use one, I'm very much looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll have my own gun in the future if I do good at my shooting lessons.

One of the first things Europeans do if they move to America is learn about guns and usually end up owning several of them.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

Sure. What I said was: "guns aren't exactly a part of our culture", which they aren't. That doesn't mean that some don't have them, of course. We have huge forests here with thousands of wild animals that are hunted every season, so of course the hunters have guns.

Guns are a part of American culture for instance, where you own guns for personal protection and such. You don't do that here. To own a gun here you have to use it for something, like hunting or if you join a gun club and compete in shooting. That's just a small part of the population.

this is the same as here but hunting and firearms are part of what has made Australia the place it is and as such is part of the culture...it is a different culture to the USA however

I just bought a new, primary, tool to deal when SHTF. I have one just like this.

What you need is about 2-3 acres of land. With that you are able to live.

You can grow your own food and be able to sell what you do not need.

In Russia, Gorbatschov gave land free to the Russian people to survive the crisis after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The movement still exist and is growing. For example the 'dachists' (from 'datcha' a small home on the countryside) produce today around 70% of all the food in Russia. In the US it is 0,6 %, it's mostly big Ag or imported.

I live in Montana and it is unbelievable of how much land is here which is not used. The Montana government's Ag department is actually encouraging people to grow their own food and sell their excess. The government has its own agents who help to sell the excess to colleges, prison, private enterprises and so on.

    Farmers markets are everywhere.

If everyone has 2-3 acres then everyone can survive and has income.

Would be nice if States restarted a small scale homesteading program.
