    Sometimes we receive our proof not directly, but by odd circumstance: Sometimes evidence in other sports is corroborating evidence that the idea behind the World Cup 2022 is not one of sports, or helping the sport in any way shape or form, but indeed one of money:

    Today was the bidding competition for the IHF Handball World Championsips 2015. The bidding nations were: Norway, France, Poland (all of which have strong Handball traditions) and - Qatar. The hosting nation for that World Cup is ... you guessed correctly, Qatar.

    It's clear that these associations are paying more attention to the (financial) interests of their own representatives than those of the sports they are charged with governing.

    They begin with good intentions but, as they grow, corruption sets in. It tends to be the case with many large organisations, sporting or otherwise
