How Old Were You When You Became Interested in Germanic Preservation?

I guess it would have been while studying history in school so between 10/13 years old. There was a lot of focus on Celtic Mythology in early school so I was always interested in early European peoples. This was confused somewhat when a history teacher explained that there was little or not evidence which suggests that the Celts made it anywhere near Ireland. He said that the Irish as Celts was a mythical construct by Nationalist writers in the late 1800s. I then started to take interest and found that there was a strong Nordic/Germanic influence here too. Then when I was 15/16 Norwegian Black Metal happened, I was hooked and a more serious interested in IE culture was born.

14, when I read a book on famous Germans. In my early adulthood I became a little indifferent for a few years (21-22), but my interest came back with a vengeance, and I am more adamant than ever.

Ohh I'd say it was built in since I was small, I was often bullied for being blond by these Mexican children in my class since I was about 10. By the time I was 13-14 I think it really kicked in, and has only become stronger since then.

I was 18 when I first awakened to the importance of my heritage - and not just to my "local" heritage, but to my larger Germanic identity as well (this was a year ago).

I was reading an article about Julius Malema (leader of the ANCYL) and his "Kill the Boer" song when I started to take an interest. Of course realization of my volk's plight kicked in at this point and I became concerned with the need for preservation and protection.

I think this awakening was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I guess it was in the 8th grade. I had already been interested in Viking culture and pagan beliefs since my childhood. I am sure my passion for Black metal helped a lot too, but then I became aware of the immigration dilemmas we face in the modern society. It was then I realized my germanic ancestry and so forth. I have also been interested in ww2, especially what the rest called "the wrong side" so I eventually saw that there was always another side of the medal.

A year later, I became Pan-Germanic and not just Patriotic and began to dig in racial and political questions which eventually led me where I am today.

i think i was probably around 12 or 13 at that time, when i realized that there arent that much blonde people....

About 2-3 years ago (18) when I became increasingly dismayed upon realizing that Europe was being colonized by the third world; esp. England(istan).
What made it worse was that virtually no mainstream politicians seemed to give a crap about it, thus I tried to look for groups that did and soon found my way to Skadi and started following European Nationalist/National Conservative parties like the FN, BNP, Jobbik, PVV, VB, SVP, DPP etc.

Well, I always had the blood boiling since birth. It has been a long process of realizing who I really am...

I was really into the military and was very spiritual growing up, but I was without any guidance. That in addition to being brainwashed by Hegelianism and Catholicism really set me back from self-realization.

I recall seeing a gay couple and feeling sick as a young brat (5 years old?), and I recall the same feeling towards an interracial couple before my mom scolded me for it. I remember wondering why my Asian friend got more girls than me, even though I was taller, smarter and whiter. (Later I decided this was because girls are brainwashed to be into the more exotic)

As many of you can relate, I listened to heavier music growing up. First with punk in elementary school, slowly fading into European melodic death metal and finally black metal by high school.

I began to be pretty atheistic and would often defend the 3rd Reich just because I thought they were so 'badass' around middle school. I was really rebellious and hated the Marxist brainwashing that is public education. I was really at odds with every single social interaction I encountered (and still am!)

I fought for the wrong side for a while after getting involved with 'Luciferian' and gnostic occult ideologies in high school (age 15)... A very complicated chapter of my life...

I'd say around age 21 I started realizing who I really was. People started seeing me as a 'Nazi' even more than before, and before I ever did. By 23, I was really into esoteric Nordicism and knew it with all my heart.

Well, that's just a small glimpse of me. It's very interesting to see myself growing psychologically...

I was 13 when I became interested in preservation of whites. I was 15 when I narrowed it down and became interested in Germanic Preservation. Best move I've made yet.
