Depression Can Be Treated With Electromagnets (Better Than Drugs)

Depression can be treated with electromagnets (better than drugs)

    Posted on 25 September 2010

A therapy known as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), which involves inducing electromagnetic fields in the brain, may ease the symptoms of depression in hard-to-treat patients better than antidepressant drugs, researchers have found.

“This study should help settle the debate about whether rTMS works for depression,” said lead researcher Mark George of the Medical University of South Carolina. “We can now follow up clues suggesting ways to improve its effectiveness, and hopefully further develop a potential new class of stimulation treatments for other brain disorders.”

RTMS therapy uses highly focused magnetic pulses similar in strength to those produced by an MRI to induce an electric current in the Dorsilateral Prefrontal Cortex in the front left portion of the brain. Over the course of a single, 37-minute session, the brain is exposed to a total of 3,000 such pulses.

Depressions can also often be treated with and exercise program, proper diet, and wholesome hobbies.

Fat, inactive people get depressed more.

Depression in Germanic societies is caused primarily from our disconnection from ancestral traditions, values, and beliefs.

Massive immigration and the "browning" of our communities and society at large also contribute.

Deport the non-europids, reinstitute sound government that promotes the nine noble virtues instead of hollywood-trash "culture", and watch depression rates PLUMMET.

    Instant Happiness, just add blood.
But the age of chivalry is gone. That of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded; and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever.

Another important antidote for depression is Vitamin D. People who live in Northern localities, or spend much time indoors, often lack it. Using sunscreen blocks it out. Darker skinned people don't get enough of it. There's a lot of new evidence pointing to the fact that lack of Vit D is very detrimental to our health, and contributes to depression as well.
