Which Christian denomination do you belong to or respect the most? Which denomination's teachings do you feel ring most true with you? Are there any denominations who's teachings you consider heretical or misrepresents "true" Christianity?
The reason I ask is because I am interested in learning more about Christianity since I've neglected to ever go in depth with it and it is part of my ancestral culture. On the other hand I've looked deeply into Eastern mysticism, Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, Taoism, Sufism, and esoteric teachings of the West such as Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Neoplatonism, Gnosticism, Pythagoreanism, and later esoteric teachings such as Theosophy and Gurdjieff's Fourth Way.
Through that time I've never considered Christianity, I've never fancied the notion that Christ could be God, and I just generally never believed in any of it. I have been watching some debates with Christian Apologetic philosopher William Lane Craig, and I find that he is a skilled debater, raises many good points, and does better at raising my interest of Christianity than anyone thus far.
Anyway, with so many Christian denominations I find it difficult to penetrate into which one I would agree with the most. An ideal form of Christianity for me would be one which is mystically inclined, seeking direct experience of God, has the best church music (like Gregorian Chant, or something like Allegri's Miserere Mei Deus) and is steeped in ancient tradition.
