It caught my attention that only a small fraction of Skadi members are active daily (usually 30) but there's always 800 or more guests sniffing around. I wonder who can that be... ideas?![]()

People who like to read the posts but have no time or interest in posting themselves. Bannned members. Antifas/multiculturalists who are checking up on the neo-Nazis/racists/klansmen. Persons who googled a particular subject & were directed to a Skadi post.
'Let's Go Brandon!'
I know of another board, which is more mainstream politically, that has a similar deal yet has few posters. I can't be sure as to the cause, and I have my suspicions, but I won't divulge them...
I regularly visited the forum for about 2 years before I signed up.
Can also be spam bots.
They are search engine bots indexing the forum. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...rp-Inktomi-Bot
It's probably a combination of all the different suggestions. I, myself, tend to lurk around and sometimes forget to log on.
Actually, I did lurk around here out of curiousity (also because I happened to agree with the views on this forum) before I signed up. That's possibly the case for some of the lurkers out there.![]()
I still lurk around here without signing in sometimes.![]()
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.
Only a small fraction of them are search bots and spiders. The very rare occasions of the time directly after the submission of a sitemap to Inktomi disregarded, they do not account for more than two or three percent of the guests. And whenever Inktomi "invades" us, the number of guests increases to a few thousands. Google spiders nearly without interruption but doesn't use that many bots simultaneously.
Most of the guests are indeed people which are directed to Skadi from the major search engines. A smaller number is made up of non-contributing regulars or occasional readers. Organized hate groups such as the ADL, the SPLC, or the ENAR and anti-Germanic phrase mongers account for a yet smaller number I'd estimate...
The answer to 1984 is 1776.
I used to be one of those regular guests untill 20 minutes ago too and I admit, you partly inspired me to finally register up here and join the discussions.
