I consider myself very empathetic, I can't even imagine being more sensitive.

I think i am quite empathic, i easily understand other peoples thoughts, feelings and motives.
But i don't tend to 'feel with them' that much, unless i really like that person. But that is more like a conscious choice, not to feel with them..

I consider myself to be quite empathetic. But that is an internal thing. How that relates to external situations (like how this test measures) is quite different though. This test seems to be more about how touchy-feely one is.

In psychological personality tests I always score the maximum possible for things like empathy.

The thing with Germanics is that although we are deeply emotional people, we tend to be quite reserved. This is true certainly in Europe, but not so much in America.

So the problem with this test is that it relates to social practices of the individual rather than the thought process behind them.

This comes as a bit of a surprise.

I was actually going to make a post concerning this. I too felt as though the test focused more on the transfer of any internal empathy on to an external social situation. In regards to myself, I am not incredibly sociable and that is certainly the area in which I fell back on this test. That doesn't, however, mean I am not empathetic, as such. I'm just far from being 'touchy-feely' or 'soft'.

As you say, Germanics are quite reserved.

I took the quiz again and got a 7, only 3 higher than my previous score of 4. I'm not sure what I did differently, then again my moods change slightly day to day so one day I can be more of a douche I guess than on other days.

I didn't do bad, I think. '41' is my score.
