Jew Larry David is a Native American According to DNA Test

A recent DNA test given to Jewish comedian Larry David by talk show host George Lopez showed that Larry David is only 63% European (which I guess includes Armenoids) and 37% Native American. Lopes maintained that this was not a comedic result.

The DNA test has 4 possible results and of course any combination of the four is possible: European, East Asian, Sub-Saharan African, and Native American.

Bloody hell, I wouldn't have guessed that.

It'd be interesting to see DNA test results for Johnny Depp or someone of his ilk, who are very obviously more Native American in appearance than that guy. I'd say if they have less Native American in them than Larry David, then the results could be comedic, but, I guess it comes down to phenotype more than anything else in regards to that.

Larry David is not American Indian & this is why I haven't paid for one of these ancestry DNA tests. If 23andme had done the testing he would have gotten 100% European.

interesting because i have actually heard that in the mormon religion sect they believe the true israelites/ chosen people were the native americans and that the cratel of civilization and life was in utah or something.

Shen et al discovered in 2004 that 15% of Yemenite Jews belonged to the Y-chromosome haplogroup Q. This is the main paternal lineage group of American Indians. However there are many strains of Q. Pre-Columbian American Q is largely of the Q1a3* clade. There is also a distinctively American Indian strain called Q1a3a which is not found in the Old World except through back-migration from America.

The mutation that defines Q is M242. The mutation that defines Q1a3 is M346 and the mutation that defines Q1a3a is M3. Yemenite Jews are currently classified as Q1a6 which is defined by the M323 mutation. However, it has recently been discovered that M346 is parental to M323. So we can expect the Q haplogroup tree to be reorganized so that Q1a6 becomes Q1a3b. This will make it a sister clade of the clade to which many American Indians belong.
