How Stereotypical of Your Nation Are You?

Just out of interest, how stereotypical do you all think you are? Are you at all, are you not at all in any way, are you somewhere in the middle? What are the stereotypes and typicalities of your countrymen, and to what degree are they true?

Being a Northerner and coming from a working class background, I am very much lacking our Queenie's variety of the English language, however I do endulge in about 1,000,000 cups of tea per day, if I had the time to cook an English breakfast every morning, I most certainly would, and embarrasingly, I quite enjoy a scone every once in a while. I have a great uncle Stanley who actually wore tweed, smoked a pipe and worked as a game keeper for Lord Derby, a great uncle Alfred, and various relatives named George, alongside a Frank and a few more 'typical' names, most of which having worked as dock labourers or farmhands. As a family we own two horses who thankfully are not homed in our tiny terraced house garden. Collectively we consume quite a large quantity of beer per month, and we do watch quite alot of football. None of us, as a family, fall under the 'Chav' or 'Scally' grouping, and in no way represent that truly dreadful and quite frankly embarrasing 'Brits Abroad' mentality.

I can't think of much more right now

What about you Germans, Swedes, Danes, Americans, Norwegians, Frisians and the rest of 'our lot'?

Stereotypically act. In what cultural activities do you participate and so on. You can chuck your appearance in there too though, if you wish

well I guess i would somewhat resemble the traditional frisian in a modern way. my family are full of fishermen because we live by the sea. we eat predominatly seafood (lots of krab, fish, shellfish) and a LOT of diary because our cows are best here. I drink a lot of tea/coffee here also very common to northern europeans.
i am blonde and blue eyed like everyone else here. also i am 196m tall! very tall people here, tallest in the world. i am engaged to a northerner women just like the majority of frisians unlike our fellow dutchmen (exclude doutzen kroes baaaww).
however i would say that i am very unique person as most people are here. many frisians are seen as "outlandish" because of our total differences in our adopted countries. germans poke fun at us by saying we are backwards people haha. i am not backwards at all.

Not at all; I do not speak French, drink beer or any alcohol, frequent doughnut shops, or associate any of the other plastic "Canadiana" that is often projected to the world. I am intolerant, anti-immigrant, and anti-peacekeeping, although I would say that, from personal observations, those attitudes are more common than one would think consideraing the liberal, hippie image which is generally associated with Canada. I also despise ice hockey. Perhaps the only Canadian stereotype is that I prefer cold weather to warm.

    Well I really don't know.

Do I watch a lot of shows like American idol or others ? No I don't I can't stand TV or any of the shows on it. I don't like American football, basketball, or baseball. Am I overly racist towards negroes then yes I am. I don't wear a baseball cap, but prefer a felt or straw hat with a full brim like a fedora but better. Do I drive a big car or own a big car yes I have 2 trucks and 1 SUV. Do eat hamburgers, yes but not from fast food places only homemade or the really good ones you get at bars. Nor do I wear T-shirts unless I'm at home or using it as a undershirt.

If you view being independent and liking small government as being American then yes. The less government the better.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I typed in a gogle search for 'Stereotypical American'.
Look at the very first image result:

Well, YEE-HAW!!! He's wearing a cowboy hat, along with the typical American beer gut (with beer, probably a Lone Star), blood-dripping cattle burger, and the required "U.S.A.!, U.S.A.!, U.S.A.!" t-shirt.

Is it just me or does this say "Texas!", and only Texas to you?
Thanks to Connecticut-born George Bush Senior and Junior, we have become our country's punch line, even edging out the likes of California.
This is what the world thinks of when they caricature Americans?

That ten-gallon hat would been a Green Bay Packers cheese wedge fifteen years ago.

    Sort of.

I'm very quiet, until I'm drunk. Love nature, especially during winter. I'm not that much of a skier, but I took it up again last winter after a long absence and shall be getting some skiing done when the next snow falls. I love lutefisk, pinnekjųtt and fårikål.

If there are any other stereotypes of Norwegians, I'm unaware of them.

Yes, in that I am very outspoken about my patriotism, play video games, and like hamburgers, beer and (american) football, and drive one of those older cars that looks american and isn't foriegn junk that constantly breaks.

No, in that I watch little TV and am quite literate and like wine and can't stand hotdogs because I know too much about how there made.

Im actually not aware of too many Scottish sterotypes other than the classics: only wearing a kilt, drinking, being a ginger and dislike of the English. i had to google search for more
    Classics:
kilt wearing: i wont even answear this one.
drinks 24/7: no, but i do enjoy a good ale after work
    ginger: no
    hates the english: no.

    Searched:
-Grumpy: yes. err i mean aye.
    -Loves golf: no.
-only wears tartan: no. could you imagine someone only wearing tartan but i will admit i have socks in clan Lyon's tartan
-swears alot: bah. they just slip out..
