    "LOVE"

Is the thing I have been in for twelve years and sure it is a lot of work, but the rewards are far greater than any toil that would be and could be had on the face of this planet. At the end of day not like the end of the video I know I am not alone.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

I don't think I've ever been in love, I think all of my boyfriends have been out of lust (even though I admit I told them I 'loved' them but at the time I probably didn't, but I think that's something a lot of people have done anyway)

    I *think* that love is many things;
    - not getting annoyed with someone being in your space
    - still thinking they're gorgeous after years (no matter what people say sexual chemistry is important to the vast majority of people out there who are in relationships)
    - some serious trust between two people
    - not wanting someone to change whatsoever
    - (play fights, which is something my husband will have to put up with until I am 80 odd)
and many other things that I cannot think of right now...

I genuinely don't know as I have never really experienced eros, only the other kinds of love I feel for my family, friends and other little things about life.

I have only been in love once and am still very much in love with this person. I think love has a lot to do with putting someone before yourself, doing what is best for them no matter what you personally want. Being able to deal with all the little things that they do that annoy you is important. Those things usually end up being endearing qualities. Sometimes I feel like people stay in relationships not out of love but out of fear of being alone.

It will really bring out the best in you. It changed me, and now I have the two most wonderful children for it.

Love is the feeling that makes us know that we live. Love is also the most beautiful feeling we can have, but it´s automatically strongly connected with a high risk for (subsequent ) love sickness...and that´s the worst and most painful feeling we can experience, far more painful than any physical wounds.

Aside from being an evolutionary necessity for beings with brains as sophisticated as ours, it is a very effective marketing tool.

Love can be thought of as a psychological addiction. We rely on the people we love for feelings of security and emotional highs. We become psychologically addicted to the people we love.

The video makes a short reference to that Socrates called love a virtue. However he was talking about love that comes from contemplation on the divine.

And not the kind of love that this tread seems to be about. But I think only poets can talk about that kind of love. Normal language is not fit for that purpose.
The sense of honor is of so fine and delicate a nature that
it is only to be met with in minds which are naturally noble or
cultivated by good examples and a refined education.
