Which Subrace Has Sparse Facial Hair?

Is there any Europid race or subrace that tends to have very thin and sparse facial hair?

I've heard that some Jews, Asians, and Native Americans have trouble growing full thick beards and substantial facial hair, is this true? Would the presence of weak or scattered facial hair signal extra-European origins?

take Johnny Depp for example, he calims 1/8 Cherokee Amerindian descent (it's clearly visible in some photos) and he can't grow a full beard.

I believe the facial hair visible in the above photograph is the only facial hair he is able to grow.

I was just thinking about this subject today. Its cold out and id sorta like to grow a beard as i think it might be warmer. Though for some reason i have trouble growing facial hair. It seems like a lot of the younger generation doesnt grow facial hair as well. Might have something to do with what is put in our food that is causing it.

I've thought this too. All the male folks in my family from my fathers generation on back can grow full beards, I on the other hand struggle with this and resort to growing poorly filled chops, can't even grow a decent mustache. lol

Alpines and East-Baltids are said to lack hair on both face and body.
Dinarids are heavily bearded; Nordids, Mediterraneans and Cromagnids grow fairly strong beards.
Although I guess the growing of hair is generally affected by nutrition.

I would say it would be hormonal. Beards usually grow faster in the summer due to more sun exposure leading to better vitamin d levels which in turn promotes a healthier testosterone profile. Easy ways to bump up your test levels is through heavy lifting, strenuous physical activity, and fat loss. Abdominal fat creates aromatase which converts your own testosterone into estrogen. Two of you stated food, very good point. Most of the younger generation is fatter and works out less, both of which would harm your test levels. There are also studies on high carbohydrate diets (western diet) and loss of test.

Personally I had a full mustache and side burns when I was 17. By the time I was 23 I had a very full beard. The last part to fill in was between my chin and my mustache.

Also, there are thoughts chemicals and food additives that can create havoc on your hormone profile.

I have noticed in the winter that not only does my facial hair grow less but I also indulge in excess of carbs during that time of year, sort of a habitual hibernation practice, some of the things I do of this nature are symptoms of SDA (heavy sleeping, over indulgence of carbs, irritability, etc...). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasona...ctive_disorder

Also city water, especially in areas like Akron, Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA has some very weird junk in it.

With my facial I can technically grow a beard but there's this spot right below my chin about the size of a quarter that will not fill in so I just trim it all into mutton chops, similar gap with the mustache right below the nose (though that part is slowly starting to fill in, very slowly).
