    Erzya, Who Are They?

    I met a guy, he said that he Erzya. Anthropological nordid. Erzya Finno-Ugric Peoples. How can this be?

    Among Erzya there are numerous Cordedware pockets(Fatyanovo culture) in Russia who adopted the Hungro-Finnish culture. East Baltic influences are rather weak if you compare Erzya with other neighbouring ethnographic groups in Russia, but they are still noticeable. The similar group with stronger Uralid influence is Moksha.
