BRUSSELS: EU home affairs commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom is to alter the rules for migrants
    Wednesday July 14,2010
By Macer Hall, Political Editor BUREAUCRATS are planning to encourage more new migrants to come to the EU despite *rising *levels of unemployment, it emerged last night.

Brussels officials are to simplify entry rules for workers heading to Europe to take up temporary *seasonal jobs in farming, tourism and other industries.

EU home affairs commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said: “We need immigrant workers in order to secure our economic survival.”

She claimed more were needed to fill “labour shortages”.

But her remarks are bound to provoke new concerns that Eurocrats are determined to press for ever higher levels of immigration.

Last night, Home Office *insiders insisted Britain would refuse to sign up to the latest overhaul of EU border controls.

Mrs Malmstrom said: “We know unemployment rates are still very high in Europe. Paradoxically, at the same time there are labour shortages.” She plans to speed up procedures for hiring managers, specialists and seasonal workers from outside the 27 EU member states.

The EU lacks workers in *certain sectors even though average unemployment is at 10 per cent, up from seven per cent before the crisis, commission *officials said. Mrs Malmstrom – *responsible for migration policies – has said the EU will continue to need extra workers in the next few years even though slower *economic growth is putting pressure on some EU governments to curb the number of immigrants.

An ageing population and low birth rates mean that migrant labour will be necessary to help EU growth in the long term.

Mrs Malmstrom said: “In light of the *demographic challenge the EU is facing, where our active population is forecasted to start falling already in 2013, we need immigrant workers in order to secure our economic survival.

    SEARCH UK NEWS for:

“I will continue to take more steps towards a more inclusive labour migration policy for the EU in the coming years.”

Under the proposals, which have to be approved by EU *governments and the European P*arliament, companies will be able to bring seasonal workers into the EU more quickly to address changing needs.

Officials insist the measures are aimed at tackling the growing problem of illegal migrants working in a black economy. Thousands, many from Africa, are hired each year to do jobs such as harvesting tomatoes in Italy.

But critics of mass immigration insist that unemployed native workers should be encouraged – or forced through benefit cuts – to take up the work. The new rules would force employers to prove they provide accommodation and set up a complaints mechanism.

And companies would benefit from simplified application procedures when bringing managers and specialists into EU branches of international corporations.

A spokesman for Mrs Malmstrom said last night: “It is up to each member state to decide whether they need more seasonal workers and how many they should take. If they don’t need more seasonal workers, of course that is their choice.”

More immigrants = bigger workforce = more cash.

And, while they're at it, encourage breeding with the local population.

    Yup. Sell out our race.

The number of unemployed Europeans is still very high, but they have labour shortages.
The solution is simple; “insist that unemployed native workers should be encouraged – or forced through benefit cuts – to take up the work”.

    What certain sectors?

The EU should train Europeans in these sectors then!

To think there is a skill shortage even though it contains 27 EU member states to choose from sounds absurd!

“An ageing population and low birth rates mean that migrant labour will be necessary to help EU growth in the long term”.

This is greed, selling out on our race and culture purely for profits.

I was just reading a report on the future Demographic changes in Europe (primarily concerned with finance so it pointed to far greater levels of immigration to solve problems such as a declining birth rate and aging population) but I found this:

"In the absence of mass migration only a combination of Scenarios I and III – i.e. a combination of Scandinavian labor force participation rates for all EU 25+ countries plus a rise in retirement age by 10 years until 2050 – could compensate for the impact of demographic aging on the work force".

Surely this combined with incentives for couples to have more children is a far better approach!

We have more than enough diversity now in the West so this can no longer be an excuse for further immigration.

According to Mrs. Malmström, EU absolutely needs immigrants in order to "secure our economic survival." At the first of glances, it is clear that this is a deliberate lie. Every nation with a large number of immigrants knows that they do not produce, but eat resources at a significantly larger rate than the native population. To claim that we need immigrants (negroes, arabs etc) because of looming "labor shortages" is to coldly lie to our faces. In Europe, automatization has already extinguished millions of jobs and there is no reason to doubt that this development will continue.

What the EU should instead be doing, is to encourage Whites to have more children in order to fix the current demographic catastrophe which will result in the de facto extinction of the European-Aryan race. But it won't. We all (hopefully) here know why.

The Jews and their lackeys scream out their battle cry: proletariat of the world, unite! We shall coin our own: creative men of all nations, recognize your common foe!

It seems the USA is further ahead then the EU, they made the turn.

Brief for 9 states backs Arizona immigration law

DETROIT – States have the authority to enforce immigration laws and protect their borders, Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox said Wednesday in a legal brief on behalf of nine states supporting Arizona's immigration law.

Cox, one of five Republicans running for Michigan governor, said Michigan is the lead state backing Arizona in federal court and is joined by Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Virginia, as well as the Northern Mariana Islands.

The Arizona law, set to take effect July 29, directs officers to question people about their immigration status during the enforcement of other laws such as traffic stops and if there's a reasonable suspicion they're in the U.S. illegally.

President Barack Obama's administration recently filed suit in federal court to block it, arguing immigration is a federal issue. The law's backers say Congress isn't doing anything meaningful about illegal immigration, so it's the state's duty to step up.

"Arizona, Michigan and every other state have the authority to enforce immigration laws, and it is appalling to see President Obama use taxpayer dollars to stop a state's efforts to protect its own borders," Cox said in a statement.

Arizona's Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, in a statement released by Cox's office, said she was thankful for the support.

In a telephone interview, Cox said the nine states supporting Arizona represents "a lot of states," considering it was only Monday that he asked other state attorneys general to join him. The brief was filed in U.S. District Court in Arizona on the same day as the deadline for such filings.

"By lawsuit, rather than by legislation, the federal government seeks to negate this preexisting power of the states to verify a person's immigration status and similarly seeks to reject the assistance that the states can lawfully provide to the Federal government," the brief states.

The brief doesn't represent the first time Cox has clashed with the Obama administration. Earlier this year, he joined with more than a dozen other attorneys general to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of federal health care changes signed into law by the Democratic president.

Like with his stance on health care, the immigration brief again puts Cox at odds with Democratic Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm. Granholm, who can't seek re-election because of term limits, disagrees with the Arizona law, her press secretary Liz Boyd said. The Michigan primary is less than three weeks away on Aug. 3.

"It's a patently political ploy in his quest for the Republican nomination for governor," Boyd said.

She is a prostitute for the zionist power in the West, the ''we'' means ''rich jews'', and our survival means ''zionist survival''.

If factory's really need more people then replace them with machines, if West European lands did that in the 70's then there would have been zero ''guest'' workers.

    Mad

    This woman is bloody crazy!
If there are labour shortages in 'certain sectors' local people should be trained to fill those shortages. No rocket science here.

I sometimes wonder what the EU are on.

Sure more immigrants = more money but it also means that there are more people who don't give a toss about our culture, I feel sad that the EU is commiting suicide on the Germanic/Mediterranian culture.

I don't want to think that all immigrants don't care about the countries which are letting them in because of their good will but it appears the majority do not care about our cultures and nations.

It only means more money because they can often pay them less. We have masses of our own unemployed we can mobilise and train.

Saying we do not have enough people in our own countries is a joke.
