    Any chance they meant "native born Anglo-Saxon Englishmen", instead of "British". Since, well...you know...? British is a nationality.

    English would be closer related than 'british'. i wonder how many cousins away germanics on the mainland are to us.

    I'm sure I am very, very, very distant in relation to you. Your ancestors migrated into Britain and conquered the Celts and presumably intermingled. Mine remained on continental Europe (most of my ancestors are from Germany, but my French Huguenot ancestors immigrated to Sweden first; if I interpreted my family history correctly) , and eventually immigrated in the 1900s to America.
