A few days ago I was able to take part in a special guided tour up in the Nidarosdomen cathedral, usually visitors are only allowed to view the ground floor. The skeleton in one of the pictures is almost 1000 years old, he was buried on the site before the building of the cathedral started in 1070. Maybe this is Olaf the holy? The man was around 2 meters tall and died in his late 20's.

There is a statue of a mason there, I was explained the reason for him holding a brick is that people belived that Trondheim would be flooded if the cathedral ever was completed. So he holds the last brick, the cathedral will never be finished.

You can see the front of the cathedral and read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nidarosdomen
