With So Many Members, Why Don't You Post Your Opinion?

I'm curious why with so many members here, more replies aren't posted to threads.

Is it because people are wary of outside parties monitoring this site?

Is it because people just don't have strong opinions?

Is it because people are just slackers?

Is it because of another reason?

Please enlighten me as I am at a loss as to why you are here and wont state your opinions on the "hard" or "serious" topics affecting our race.

Please don't attack the poster (me) but the topic if you have an opinion....

Could it be that many people just enjoy the good reading at this board.
Life is like a fire hydrant- sometimes you help people put out their fires, but most of the time you just get peed on by every dog in the neighborhood.

Perhaps but good reading is not what I see this forum as being (perhaps I'm wrong).

The opinions of a vocal few does not necessarily a people make.

I realize I'm relatively new here but, talk is one thing, action is another. I am happy to discuss all sorts of topics here but unless members contribute, I might as well be talking into a mirror!

So, why if so many people seem to be put off by the watering down of our race, do they not speak out?

Many are students who need more time to devote to their studies.
Some have domestic commitments that understandably demand more attention.
I suppose that some are just shy, which may reflect the person they are outside the forum. Nothing wrong with that.
Others may feel that their opinions may be ridiculed or attacked. Some are just not as aggressive as others.
Often times there are posts that I start out contributing to only to find that someone else has said it better than I would have.

Is it because people are wary of outside parties monitoring this site?
I have also suspected this to be a reason why a few seem to hold back. For our European based members I can fully understand the reluctance since it is a more precarious situation for them over there. In the states we can still speak our minds about things that would certainly mean imprisonment for some in Europe.
Yet, there are times when I wonder: How anonymous am I? How much do they really know?

Is it because people just don't have strong opinions?
Any one who joins this site already brings with them strong opinions. Some are stronger than others and need a little more space to express themselves.

Is it because people are just slackers?
    Quite possibly.

Is it because of another reason?
Provocateurs or moles will always troll preservationist forums. This is to be expected.

There are some topics which I have enough knowledge to discuss, others not so much. Occasionally I will speak my mind only to find out later that I wasn’t as thoroughly schooled as I thought I was.
When I first joined here I kept my thoughts to myself for a while before I adapted to what was expected of me. Some people need a little more time, while others just dive right in.
I feel that anyone who joins and sticks it out, making an exhaustive search through the archives (I am about halfway through them myself) will eventually get into the rhythm of things here. I figure that most people who join and then leave after a week or a month may feel that they just weren't able to find anything in common to discuss.

It's funny, since I have made a conscious decision to not be influenced by any any person, I have become more vocal.

I think one of our biggest hindrances is the fact that we are fragmented and all over the earth which therefore leads to small voices in a big world.

Anyway, whatever I can do, I am willing to do.........

We have some members who are exceptional in that they have the insight, knowledge and ability to connect the dots to almost always be able to add meaningfully to a discussion despite it being a long-running thread, but that's not everyone and it shouldn't be held against them that they aren't.

I don't believe there's a direct correlation between having a strong opinion and being vocal about it. It's not uncommon for vocal people to be inconsistent in their opinions and arguments either.

I am sorry if you feel I was directing my comments at any one in particular.....I was not.

I am just asking why with so much happening on politically correct discussion around the globe because we who are of a given opinion (because we are members here) do not debate the issues here in any tangible way?

    Anyway, to each their own.....

Maybe because it would just be an echo of what someone else has already posted.

As someone new to the forum who hasn't posted much i can say why some might not say much. I havn't posted much because there is a lot to read on this forum. Some of the time the threads i read are either old or i just don't have anything that i feel is worth saying because its basically already been said. Also when i first joined it was just to learn some stuff about Norse mythology so i was just looking into the Germanic Heathenry part of the forum to see if i could find anything. That actually did help me i found the Eddas and some other information. Though i do plan to post some now so i might not stay one of the members who don't say anything.

    Forums vs Blogs

It seems forums less active now... Is it caused by a general laziness ? Maybe .
For example, Occidental Dissent, one of my favourite : Forum is dead ( though a lot of interesting threads ) and Blog very very active .
